I love the metaphorical aspect of him walking alone in the desert, no girls, cars, chains, just speaking to God with no distractions basically telling God to walk with him
@@OriginalPuro and you can't prove he doesn't just like I can't realistically prove he does to a point where you would be satisfied. But I ain't gonna argue with ya about it even if I could give you examples of why he exists to me. You would just call them coincidences.
@@AnthonyWilliams-gq2sw because there is no scientific evidence of Gods existence. That’s what Hop is dealing with. There is no proof, that’s why you have faith. You believe God did something or had a hand in something you do not know. We cannot prove something doesn’t exist because that’s not possible to do. Prove to me a unicorn doesn’t exist. You can’t. I could attribute plenty of things to unicorns, but I’ll never be able to show you actual proof of unicorns.
True. I'd been a Hopsin fan since Sag My Pants but he was always just "pretty good" until Ill Mind 5 and then I was like "okay, he spittin facts" and then Ill Mind 6 came and I thought it was a really good track but then this dropped and it's just... beautiful. It's incredible. Seriously. A piece of art. Poetry. But he's never been able to drop something this good since. This is his peak and ever since this, he's failed to deliver anything even close. Neither Ill Mind 8 or Ill Mind 9 come anywhere near this. Unlike Eminem, where he's been able to drop Diamond on par with Stan every once in a while, so far this is Hopsin's only Diamond to me. I'm back to where I was before Ill Mind 5 with him. I'm happy he drops stuff, I'll listen to it. But nothing connects like this connects. It's a shame really.
This shit is so fire. As someone who grew up in a somewhat religious family and went a different direction as I grew up, this definitely makes me feel a certain way. I have to feel like everyone at some point has questioned shit to some extent so it's so relevant. And no matter how many times I Hear that last verse...gives me chills every time lol
Religion is so controlled. The true Hebrew scriptures are the way. Romans crucified Jesus(Yeshua), stole the identity and created the bible. Now when people think of christianity they think of the ROMAN Catholic bible.. i mean you just have to use your brain a little to break out the box man.. Hope you find the right path
Hopsin - I need help (it's a continuation of hop is back) Hopsin - Hell's carol Hopsin - Nocturnal Rainbows Hopsin - Witch Doctor Hopsin - I wouldn't do that Hopsin - Twisted Hopsin - Whats my purpose
His "government's God" bar was insane!! This is such a deep song that I believe most or all of us have thought about at least once or twice but yeah Hop is 🔥🔥 🔥 just as your reaction bruh!
Eminem is hands down my favorite rapper, but hopsin is absolute 🔥🔥🔥first time I heard this song I realized he put everything I have felt about religion growing up and coming from a religious family, he put it all in a song
Man religions never give you the full answer and no proof at all. No justice in world, no unnatural things to prove the god. Im "kinda" Muslim but im asking the same questions like Hopsin did. Im like i believe god but not religions.
@@spaj Especially now in this pandemic. Religions are the MAIN ones who aren't even making a peep to ACTUALLY help but they STILL asking for tides and offerings though. Yall quick for that but yall ain't quick to actually help out humanity as much as yall can 👌🏼💯
@@spaj Yea if people believed in God disregarding religion I wouldn't find it surprising in the slightest. At least you wouldn't have this baggage of weird ass cult rituals and morals to try to justify. It's the plethora of stone age religions that people blindly believe in that I find absolutely baffling. Like seriously do they honestly think people 1500-4000 years ago knew more than us. Then again, as he said some people still believe pacs alive. Btw was a Muslim as well.
As an Atheist, I come back to this song at LEAST once a month. It makes me think I'm not THAT much different than a believer. Most of us go through some potentially life changing bullshit. At rock bottom, we're all the same.
@@bobbyfan418 the thing that got me into religion again after being an atheist was when I attended an exorcism of my girlfriend, pissed off because I wanted to take her to a hospital and felt like her family was gaslighting her into thinking it was demons, which as a clinical psychologist had conerns it would make her conditon worse and scare her more. So I stood by for emotional support and to make sure no one oversteps. Then she spoke perfect Latin and Hebrew. It sent a chill into my heart and spine, I have pondered at least once a month since then for a rational explanation of not only that but the other things that occured. So I toe the line between agnostic and christianity now.
@@SFO195 I rarely hear stories like yours, people going between agnosticism, and christianity. Though I've never had an experience like yours, I've had too many experiences to deny the existence of the spirit world.
@@bobbyfan418 I know, most people don't get possessed or attend an exorcism if their is a possession so it's not like it's common. But from trying to inf similar cases online after my incident it happens. I'm just not sure what's crazy the language swapping or the strength she had. She's 4'10 and under 100lbs and it took 7 men to hold her down, we regularly wrestled as apart of our sex life and I'm way stronger than her but her strength was superhuman that day. I'm not sure if I'm Christian but I am way way more skeptical and open to religion, or at least admitting I have absolutely no idea what the truth is and am not willing to rule anything out. Not until I can come to a rational scientific explanation for everything I saw
No joke, when he got to "Heaven is all in my brain" and "my ideas are what get me through pain" I still can't get through the raw truth without tearing up. Powerful stuff
"my mind is an unstopped tape playing, and i cant rewind it" i've listened to this song probably 50x but i never really caught that line before. really paints the picture of his struggle. he's trying to figure out what is right and he knows he has some thoughts that are morally right, but there are so many voices in his head that it is hard to decipher and remember the right ones.
This is my favorite ILLMIND hands down. Growing up in the church I can't tell you how many times I been thru this situation. At least 3 or 4 times I've dropped in and out of religion throughout my life and for these very reasons. Thanks for reacting bro 💜💯💯
I feel you brotha. I tried religion but after I seen my Moms arguing with my Grandma over which religion I wanted to practice or be in I was like "Yall REALLY arguing over this?" It shouldn't matter what religion I am cuz both should love me regardless of what I practice being son and grandson and when I saw that even my moms and grandma couldn't be peaceful about shit I said I will do BOTH of you a favor and not practice anything but being a human being and showing love always and not do suspect ass shit like majority people in religion do. Like live life how you want but don't push religion on me when you ain't even somebody who is or demonstrates being a good human being 👌🏼💯 Much love brotha! ✌🏼💙➕
@@sentoo7606 I don't believe in a sky God, but I believe in Christian principles and study Buddhism. I delved into the occult for yrs the first time I dropped out of religion in my late teens lol
@@SamoaVsEverybody814 Ahh ok. Christian principles or common sense, is the thing i belive in too. Dropped out of Church with 18 and never looked back and iam not intrested in religion anymore. But if you find something in religion is good for you
Slicedbread i think he seems to be trying talent is good hardworking talent is great I don’t think great songs or things are created only based on lazy talent.
Mad respect bro people always tell me the yelling at the end is corny, but i always felt like it was raw heartfelt emotion. Glad you appreciated this track 💯
Makes you have more respect for Hopsin! 100% independent! He is so creative! And he doesn't care what people think he does him! Your barely tappin into his catalogue though he has so many more bangers
@@frostbytes8906 I think it was mostly mentions but those are the main ones, tonewise I don't know where the old us should go. It might be best to put it first. I think ILL mind should probably be last in my opinion
See this song was popular when it came out but I feel like the message is sooooo slept on. This song actually makes me emotional man! And I'm not religious at all but the fact that he makes me think about it is just beyond words. Hopsin is on a whole other level, he's right up there with Em as far as inspiration is concerned. Fight me on this. Lol
Damn it feels so good to watch someone who can react to Hopsin without using the word corny or being judge mental, the dude is highly intelligent and an insanely talented rapper and lyricist.
As someone who’s grown in my faith over the years, through my own life experiences, I really appreciate Hopsin’s journey in honestly seeking answers, and not just accepting what he’s told, regardless of where it leads him. I do believe that if you genuinely seek the truth... you will find it. God bless, Hopsin.
I didn't notice last time, your eyes are watery. You have a genuine heart and are mighty humble Sir. This song is on my daily play list, I still get the real feels from this song
You my go to guy for the way you love and pay attention to art of Rap . I respect your pausing because you have to bring it back and hear it again. Like we all do . thanks for understanding how bad ass minds many rap artist have. Thanks
I’m so late to watching your reaction to this song. That ending gives me chills every single time! I have this one on repeat often. That beat too! 😩🔥👌🏻
FINALLY you saw this. And you reacted the way I thought too. I remember when nolifeshaq reacted to this, and he ACTUALLY thought this was a praise to religion and god?! that was the last time I saw his channel, because I dont understand HOW you understand a song so horribly tbh.
@@Ramsdal23 yo facts. I was confused asf the first time I heard it and heard Hop say that he was going solo. I hit the youtube search hard that day lol
This is my fave ill minds track, it gets me emotional and sitting nodding like yes dude this resonates with me and hits hard! He tells his life story in his songs and anyone who makes music that resonates and people feel in their soul are the best kind of artist! I love people who are unapologetically themselves and who dont hold back on their words 👏
This was the moment that I really started to take Hopsin seriously. Being an atheist myself, I can feel everything he's rapping about here. I grew up in a very religious family, and I dealt with the same things he did. It takes a LOT of courage to put it out there that you don't believe to your friends and family. You get judged for it, and you have to be willing to deal with that backlash. Mad respect to Hopsin for doing that on a big scale.
After you're done with Hop, can we get some Locksmith or some Kemba reactions? Both fire MCs, Kemba less well known to most people but his album "Negus" is one of the best I've ever heard.
This is so hard!!! I’m been here all along but kinda surprised this wasn’t the first Ill Mind that ended up on the channel. This vid was my first impression of Hopsin years back. This is my favorite Ill Mind followed by 9.
Hands down my favorite song of his. Every point he makes was among the numerous thoughts going through my head when I went through the painful process of deconversion in my 20s.
One of my favorite Hopsin songs, not one line was wasted in this rap, every bar made you really think about everything on this particular subject. Keep up these reactions 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@beatsbybrandon902 Well usually I'de agree but given the type of person dax is, I doubt it... This is the same man who cons smaller artists and tries to turn clout chaser into a positive thing, there's TONS of exposed videos on him and for good reason lol
I'm surprised the video doesn't have over 100M views yet. It's gotta be one of the greatest songs ever written. The video only adds to it. It's honestly insane.
Just been sitting back waiting for you to do this song. Was waiting to see your reaction. By far his best song. Reaction real as fuck! You a real one! Glad to see you react in the way I anticipated. This one true masterpiece that other rappers need to model not only their importance of content but the importance of thinking for yourself and finding your own true meaning of this thing called life. Prayers though out to hopsin, he still struggling with his inner demons.
From a fan who grew up going to Catholic school and church (mommy) and going to Baptist church 4 days a week (daddy) and stop following all religion once I was old enough to listen, compare and analyze erthing I was taught......this song resonated with me so much it left me speechless. Especially coming from someone about 8 yrs younger than me. This is when I began truly following him.
Awesome reaction. I've had a similar thought process recently and talking to a buddy referenced this song in particular. Hopsin is really good at what he does.
Asking again for Hopsin- die this way!! Song is PURE FIRE and music video is one of if not my all time favorite music video!! And thank you for doing False advertisement. Have yet to watch the reaction for it.gunna after this one.
