Texas was taken from México by force, California wasn't, Californians WERE Mexicans, but after the war the North Californians become US citizens. Remember, when California was part of México it was a sovereign state too. So the sketch of RC is wrong and racist, Hispanic isn't equal to illegal inmigrant.

Lord Defekator actually, the taking/lost of California was conspired before the Mexican War. Plans were made to take California since Mexico did not want to sell it. Mexico lost California since they were not building an infrastructure, at least from my understanding. The conquest of California had minimal major action, murders, and at least two massacres.

Here's a problem - Superman came to US on 1930's, where the adoption and citizenship was pretty much lax than todays (and already covered by 1980's reparation). - Superfriends is an international organization thus El Dorado is exempt from deportation, or I am mixing up with Justice League. - Zorro is a native Hispanic Californian thus legally a citizen of US. - Most of the episode dealing with Speedy is when Slyvester was chasing him in his hometown. Too bad the stupid adaptation strongly implied that stereotype.

powerist Zorro technically is a Mexican citizen. Living during the era that California was still part of Mexico. Superman was never formally registered as being a Kyrptonian adopted by the Kents. :p

In the Post-Crisis continuity Superman was born in Kansas as kryptonian children were birthed by machines, not Kryptonian women. He was sent off as a foetus growing in a birthing pod not as a baby and exited the artifical womb when his pod landed in Kansas and was found by the Kent family. Yes I am a massive nerd.
