I was watching a livestream from LAX July 4th and the fireworks were amazing. There was also alot of heavy traffic by the airport when people were leaving. People in LA like their fireworks.🎆🎇🧨✨
@@wjrasmussen666 Sure, but SoCal alone is densely populated with millions of people, so fireworks are more chaotic. I'm sure parts of Texas look similar but isn't as dense as SoCal.

It’s time to ban your fireworks given they are getting louder and louder and you people are shooting them off for 4 or more hours a night for almost a week or longer
I get what is being said, however the government has never given or bought me alcohol. Even if they did, if I was over served and drive after, well fair enough.
no its not the fireworks they are concerned about its the wild fires that those fireworks can set and the millions of dollars in damage and cost of fighting them that they are worried about

Not sure that fireworks in the city (one of the biggest metro areas in the nation, at that) are gonna make much of a difference, bud. Here in about a month tops, all us living in California's hat are gonna be living in a smokescreen and fireworks haven't a thing to do with it the vast majority of the time (barring something like a gender reveal party, of course).

@@topgun1457 honestly taking classes would help at lest somewhat but ya during somewhat dry season, i won't buy willows or anything that has a tail or shoots at a angle but if it doesn't rain for a week or it's super dry then i won't.
@NOT-A-Monolith You'd be surprised how many cops actually care... Fireworks are illegal in places like LA and NY. And yet people have been lighting them for years with little to no repercussions. I have yet to see the local govs actually try and enforce those rules. And TBH it's a waste of manpower and resources, when they have bigger fish to fry.

Nope One of the two main ingredients in most non-professional fireworks is nitrogen (actually nitrocellulose); most of which does not burn up. It then adds nitrogen to the atmosphere, thereby seeding thunderstorms
This has been going on for years. We'd all go to a friend's house to watch the street fireworks people had bought in Mexico. The police would cruise by but never do anything. It was fun & I don't think I recall anyone getting hurt or any houses catching fire. Anyway---old news!
I’m here too😂 surprising my dogs are chill. I appreciate that this area does keep it to one day. When I lived in palms, they started in JUNE and ended in AUGUST 😩
The law is made for the people, not the people for the law. This just tells me how out of touch the 'lawmakers' are with the folks they claim to serve.
As a native, this is part of the LA culture. It's always been like this and always will. You'll never experience anything like it in other parts of the US. I personally love it. Cities will always warn us against using illegal fireworks for safety and liability reasons. The $1k fine is really only for people that are caught being stupid or obnoxious, or using using illegal fireworks in a city that doesn't allow any fireworks at all like Long Beach.

Ahh, yes, LA the only city in America where fire works are illegal, but people still come together to light them off. Yes, you definitely won't see this any other city in the whole country
@@10MM-MAGAMAN-420 LA Basin in general. I’d include riverside too tbh. My point is that you’ll never find such a densely populated area all firing off fireworks like this. You’ll for sure find people firing mortars in other states but most other cities are not as dense and close to each other as the ones in LA. New York maybe but I’m not sure if they go off like we do.
Except they are not patriots. Certain people - I won’t say who - just love fireworks. It has nothing to do with the 4th of July and celebration of Independence Day.

I mean, put yourself in their position.. What can they do? Travel the city and lock up tens of thousands who, for the most part, are celebrating with family? Is it illegal? Sure. Though in 2024 many officers of the LAPD tend to act more like humans, rather than robots. They tend to focus on higher priorities during the 4th. Like actual damage or possible fires from illegal fireworks, among other things.
My friends crossed the open border and got tons of cheap fireworks. Maybe Biden should close the border and build a wall to keep illegal immigrants out if he really cared about illegal fireworks.😉
for $400 you can buy 24 shots of artillery shells and 2 big family packs 4 ft tall of fireworks while a single family pack of fireworks made of pure fountains cost about $600 - $1,000 at TNT stands guess what people are going to go with? the cheaper and better fireworks🤣 what a shocker
@J0EFERNY No - they should NOT be legalized. The low-lifes that buy and use these fireworks cause fires all over Los Angeles every year and they don't give a damn. People who think this should be legal are also criminals.
I go over to u haul or Home Depot every year and buy a decent size box. Lay it on its side and put a blanket and Bluetooth speaker in it. When the fireworks start my pup goes in there and feels more comfortable.
