Her storyline was supposed to go on as the big baddie but the threat of cancelation forced them to change things. Pitty because Fred could have come back.
In the comics, Fred does come back. Illyria became an amazin' character in my opinion. I do enjoy the fact that she didn't become a big baddie because her character arc is amazing.

@@drwatsonca6945 Yeah, they said but it didn't mean anything and they only thought it... Plans for Angel Season 6: Angel was supposed to become human, Wesley was supposed to be revived, Illyria was supposed to be split (into Fred and Illyria), Gunn was supposed to become a vampire and an antagonist... and all of that happened in the comics I believe.
