You are wrong. Clearly you never did any reaserch and red old dictionaries or document about illyrians. Illyrians was a germanic and latin word for slavs and there are still latin-illyrian dictionaries and you can see its latin-slavic dictionary. Sqip or arnauts came basicly to the blakan peninsula with the turks. They later adopted the name albanians wich was a name of slavic tribes.
@@alekdek slavs didn't even exist at the time, you need to read a real history book. Look into Skanderbegs history aswell where he also states that we are Illyrian. As usual, slavs have always tried to steal our culture... I'm guessing you're a serb

Name Illyrian was a germanic and latin translation for south slavic, sometimes they used that word also for northen slavs. There are still dictionaries of latin-illyrian and if you read it you will see its latin to slavic ( basicly serbian) Illyrians as such people didnt exist, it is just a word for slavs (nowdays slovenes croats and serbs) illyricum was a region from nowday slovenia to greece. Modern albanians and sqip language have nothing to do with it.
You really now nothing about ancient history. There were 3 wars between Illyrians and the roman empire, and the serbs were not in the ballkans at all at those times.The slavic tribes came to the ballkans in the 6- 7th century b.c. You have just te read wikipedia. Forget the serbian school texts. The Illyrians did exist. The Illyrian culture for the most did survive among albanians because the slavic tribes did not asimilate them, but the croatians as well have Illyric roths as they are Illyrians who were assimilated by slavs.
south slavs were called illirians at that time my friend.. just find the illiro-latin dictionary and you will see what lenuage was considered illirian lenguage..
@@alekdek glad to know there exists an illyro-latin dictionary. Do you have any information were can we find it? The linguists say that many of the illyrian language is now survived in the albanian language, but we do not have any text in illyrian. We can tell it analysing the modern albanian and comparing it with other ancient indoeuropian langueges and very small sourses of illyrian...but illyrian dictionary?...l didn't know this language survived so intact such as to come to us in a dictionary form. I am glad to hear this from you, so if you have any foto or such, just tell us, it will be really very useful.
