Yes, I guess, I think what SM did is to demolish the entire Art Deco main entrance bldg because it is 100 years old and in danger of falling to pieces in case of earthquakes. Next, SM will reconstruct the entire Art Deco structure exactly the same as the original one, except that certain adjustments need to be redesigned inside in order to modernize the interiors to make it spacious. I think because the new left and right wings at the sides have taller ceilings, the new Art Deco main entrance structure will be taller than the old original bldg, in order to level with the floor plan of the second floor, but exactly the same in architecture. In conclusion, you can say nga gin retain kag gin preserve ang Art Deco bldg entrance design and architecture. Beautiful!
