Oh, man! I just ordered a pair. I almost skimped and got a used set of MK1's. I'm super glad I sprung for these. I have the Adam A77h monitors. These will provide me the measurement mic to calibrate those, and they will be the perfect compliment sitting atop the Adams. 😁
They are absolutely lovely. I'm using the older version and the deep end is immense (for me at least, coming from the "iLoud Micro Monitors"). I'm happy without a Woofer (got one but not even hooked up anymore)
I bought the MTM mk1 and compared it to the iLoud Micro, And also the MTM mk1 to use the PC has to change sensitivity to -10dB and try to use it as a SubWoofer but with this large increase in sensitivity it generates a lot of noise. I didn't like the bass and the MTM mk1 is gathering dust I'm not sure if I should take the risk and buy the MK2
I got the originals based on mixing and mastering engineers recommendations. For me these are better than the HS7s but how much of an improvement are the MKII's over the MKI's?
do you need to be running the X-monitor every time you want the sound corrected? Or do the speakers store the correction filter (and modifications you may add) once calibrated through the X-monitor?
I’ve seen various videos on these and all of them say the mic is included but the IK site and other retailers say it isn’t. The original MTMs and the Precisions all included the mic, so which one is it for the new models?

Hopefully they altered the power switches on these. I stopped using mine because i couldn't turn them on or off without slightly moving the speakers and messing up the calibration.
The difference will be minimal don’t worry, and also these speakers don’t necessarily sound better when calibrated so the new tech and software may be useless, the mk1 is already a great sounding speaker so I don’t think the mk2 is worth it especially as the mk1 will be much cheaper now.
