I’ve been there! I shot RNAV 20 over there about a year ago, and we barely saw the runway above 210’ AGL with moderate precip, quite tough approach but it was really fun being my first actual instrument approach in IMC!
@@ProPilotPeteAhhh that’s why! I did my FOI written down there last November at Averett University at KDAN and there was some big building that was being constructed at that time! Airport personnel monitors CTAF/UNICOM and somewhat gives traffic advisory and it was super helpful!
It’s a checklist item from the old days, used to be concerned if you lost an engine and the prop sync was on it would follow it down. Now if they are more than 25 rpm’s apart it quits working.
