ILVE USA Fiasco

First, the cooling fan was bad, making a horrendous screeching sound while on, with no switch to turn it off.
Second, the front left double burner started going out randomly after lighting.
Third, the oven stopped working, literally does not light, in any configuration.
We called ILVE USA, also known as Superior Marketing in NYC, whom we bought the stove from.
There were no techs in our area, so I found a tech to come over, and Ilve sent a cooling fan (after three month wait) and a thermocouple.
In January, six months after purchase, The tech installed the cooling fan, which could not be tested since the oven won’t come on, and the thermocouple.
At the end of the tech’s service visit, not only did the original problems still exist, the two right burners, working normally that morning, would not light and stay on.
The tech ordered an “Igniter” (which says “transformer) and after a month it arrived. The valve ordered for the oven won’t arrive until July.
This month, May 2023, The tech installed the “Igniter” and worked on the stove for more than two hours.
After they left, the two right burners still will not light and stay lit, unless you light both of them at the same time.
The left front burner will not stay lit. Still.
The oven still doesn’t work
During the past year I’ve spent more than 12 hours on hold with IlveUSA. I’ve spoked to eight different people.
I’ve never received a call back from Customer Service, I have not been able to speak to a supervisor or manager, parts are still back ordered, and our range/oven still doesn’t work.
This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.

Oh no! I also have one I bought within the last year. One of the knobs is no longer staying on and so I knocked it off onto the floor and dented it and tried to go on the website to see how much a replacement is and none of their websites are working. We also are randomly having issues with the double burner! I am so sad to see you are having issues as well because the reviews were so good and I was so excited to get this range.

Very similar issues. We’ve had ours for a year as well and never had a fully functional range. As of today, I just found out that superior marketing is no longer Ilve USA’s warranty company. The Ilve USA website is not working as of today as well. We’re currently 4 months into waiting for our next batch of parts and I was in the process of working on receiving a replacement range from Ilve and now everything is in limbo.

Hope you got the issues resolved. Having several of these in a rental building, I have learned an experience tech can resolve the issues fast. Have you looked into the magnets that are inside the gas valves and part of the flame failure system? This was an issue with one of the units I own..

Ugggg I am having same issues with Ilve nostalgic 36 in range….the double burner won’t stay lit. I did bake my Thanksgiving Turkey no issues, now I am scared after seeing your video. Going to try and pursue customer service….I have had mine only 5 months

What a nightmare. Can you return/replace it? The Netherlands is pushing for all electric with everyone eventually replacing gas ranges with electric ones. Cars too, all new ones by the year 2025 will be electric, but the older gas driven models will be in use until they can no longer pass their annual inspection.

Same here after 2 year of battling with them to repair mine with burners not staying lit the worst was dripping grease from the oven onto the floor one technician finally sent the pictures of two holes in the back where it was coming from they said it was a manufacturers defect not properly seamed at the factory cps finally said they’ll have to warranty it out. Appliances connection was supposed to swap it out now they’re out of business and I’m stuck with this horrible stove do not buy.

Yes I cannot recommend this stove to anyone either. It is not reliable.
