Hey Alex I just realized something. You have 4,000,000 subscribers meaning ether 3,900,000 people lost their phones or the algorithm is for some reason not showing your videos on the subscriptions tab. Personally I’d take it up with RU-vid because I can’t think of 1 reason you wouldn’t be at least at a couple hundred thousand. I mean I missed your videos for about a year I think something’s going wrong.
Idk man qualities you are an animator and pretty talented at that so I say maybe look into that having a RU-vid channel with lots of subs and views can seem pretty good to a place looking for work…but obviously if this isn’t what you want to do don’t do it you have to do what you love
Hey Alex! Long time viewer here with an idea. Ever think about expanding over to TikTok? Maybe you could start doing animated shorts/vlogging over there as well as continue what you do here. Plus you can upload older videos to since you can add videos up to ten minutes on the app. Since TikTok has grown in popularity it could be a great way to expand your audience. I know a creator there that has made it his career. Maybe adapting another social platform could help your viewership. As for the possible ban honestly I truly believe it's too popular for it to go in that direction. Maybe something to look into.

Alex, I'm in a similar boat even though it's not the same industry. Been steadily working my way up in salary for the past 11 years to a point where I felt like I *should* be comfortable, and for the first time in my marriage, parenting 2 kids, I can't make ends meet. Wife is supportive. The financial stress is getting to both of us. Sometimes really bad. She's picked up a job just to help, and it's not enough. But that's the story of a LOT of us right now. The economy is in a crazy place. Prices skyrocketed and wages didn't. We're going to get through this. You'll have something pop off or another door will open. I've got some potential opportunities on the horizon. It's hard not to compound the stress with self-directed anger at failing your own expectations. As long as your wife supports you, you're doing your best, and you're making that critical time to be a dad, you're already doing better than most. Keep moving forward. You will pull through this, and so will we.
Yea... lots of friends are in similar boats especially out here in hollywood. Spent their life working their way up making movies and tv... and now the entire industry is changing and a lot of them cant figure out what to do. AT least we have each other and our awesome family members rooting for us! Best wishes and thanks for sharing your story as well.

I haven't seen your videos in years to be honest. I remember way back when I was watching youtube early on your stories were awesome and your animation was great. It STILL is great and I like how honest this video was. You may not be a giant youtuber with views on every video on the wazoo, but you helped someone through a time where they wanted some entertainment and was still learning the ropes of online. Thanks for that and I appreciate it to pieces. Hope things get better for you and if they don't on here or in comedy, I know you will find something that you will excel at. Take care.

I feel this on such a personal level. You can do this Alex. Finances are such a big struggle and your wife being your biggest cheerleader is the greatest thing you can have. I remember when I graduated with my masters; it took me a year to find a job while my spouse kept supporting me the same way they supported us while I was in school for forever. And when I did land the job, I cried in their arms while laughing after the phone call. You'll make it, my dude. I believe in you.
RU-vid is always suggesting shit I dont want to watch. I just want my Alex Clark’s and Theory Channels and Good Mythical Mornings and a few others. But instead I get weekends or days that I get a bunch of crap that is non-sense put out by literal children and it’s like the other content is blocked from view. No body wants that RU-vid. I usually dont open the app for a couple days and it’s back to the other non-sense.
Everything will get better from here on. You were one of the you tubers that kept my siblings and I entertained during the covid era, you kept our faith up. Don’t ever lose faith things will start getting better for you and yours. God bless you

I have a full time job, but it's a job I don't want, but it pays the bills. What I really want to do is what you do. I know it's a struggle, *but* you're doing it! You make videos, get paid for it, you do stand up, get paid for it. It's not much, but you have a family that loves you and supports you! Except the dog, I say you put him on an eventual menu. Emergency food, if you will. The Paimon dish. Thing is... you're in a position many wish they could do. It may not mean much coming from a stranger, but as a fan of your work, I'm very proud of your achievements. And I do believe many of us are proud of what you do. Just wish we could do more for you to help you. :(
I'm not old enough to be in the workforce and although I'm not going to bank on full time RU-vid, I am trying to make something every so often. It's a way of opening new doors; I get to do something that I love, but I also know that most of the big names are there because they're consistent. Because they make quality things. And I want to make quality things; I have for a while. If you want to be in his position, there's no better way than to simply start making videos. With consistency and quality, you will find an audience, be it big and broad, or small and devoted.

I used to come to your channel all the time when I was younger nowadays I rarely look up your RU-vid channel. Sometimes I only come across it again when it gets recommended to me again. And I imagine the same as probably happened to a lot of other fans.

Dude, I love your videos. I have been watching your videos since the day of Raid area 51. I stayed up watching your videos and flipping back to see if people would try their luck with the military. Sorry life is kicking you in the pants. If I could help I would man, but I'm raising 5 kids. 2 of them are my nieces that we took in when their folks became homeless.
