Was teaching English there at that time. 19 years old. Best time of my life until sickness struck. Felt invincible at the time , although we were being careful...... was unreal how sketchy it could be sometimes.
That must have been incredible. I was teaching in Hong Kong at the time. I went to Cambodia over my summer vacation. I remember that it was another world.
I was also in pp then my tape long since lost , I stayed at monorom hotel had a lift , drunk most of time on french cognac. Wish I had my tapes , I was 28yo

@@vuthatvkh9582 no problem I’m from Bulgaria but i randomly started reading the whole history of Cambodia and its really interesting haha. Even if some periods are darker than others they are still fascinating and i wanna visit the region and Cambodia some day! ( the Southeast Asian conflicts remind me a bit of the Balkans in some respects)
@MLU8811 I had an early 1990s cheap Sony Handicam at the time. The cassette was digitised maybe 10 years ago. Could be a lot worse given that it’s 30 years old.
