I love parkour. :) i love how it is you battling against the enviroment. You push yourself at your own pace and progress. Fear is all in your head. If you want to move, then move. Cant let society tell you that your doing something wrong when its bettering yourself and possibly others. Live life freely and always remember who you are not who they are. :)

first off my friend, its not like you MUST do parkour. and most people do parkour in some way or another (often without realizing it) at some point and most of it has nothing to do with leaping across buildings and stuff. i think what this guy is saying is that in some aspects society puts you into a robotic kind of way of life (not that that way of life is wrong or anything) such as: you HAVE to do this, or this object MUST be used for this purpose..........
@adept.anderson
@adept.anderson 13 лет назад
@Brahinem Its my mistake if its incorrect, There was no disrespect intended, I don't like labels and logo teams myself, And to be frank most of the time i don't address the practitioners of this discipline as "freerunners" or "traceurs" because i feel it separates us as a community in a way. I have done research, and my focus wasn't on nicknames or apparel when i made that comment. Message me and educate me then please, don't say I'm wrong and then leave. I'm being sincere I promise.

@ZeigonTT He is nr 1? What about Belle? Or milion another guys? And yea. I think freerun is stupid. Looks cool - sure, but risk your life because something looks cool? Its stupid. If someone like that, should go to gym and train safe with good instructor.

Wow. Who are you to judge? Every single physicality can injure if done incorrectly and mindlessly. Parkour is a balance be between mental and physical. It teaches how to get over physical obstacles obviously but the mental aspect is applied to everyday life by the majority of practitioners, who teach youngsters to be safe and respect the world. To me, comments like this are created by unhealthy persons who live in momma's basement. Don't judge things you do not understand, it's not trendy.

I have an issue with my knee (JOCD) and I am unable to run or jump or stress my knee for a year. My name is Timothy and Tim inspires me so much because he had both meniscuses removed from his knees and look where he is now. I love that attitude of "I can't change it so why dwell on it." and that's what I am going to do. In the next year my upper body strength is going to increase exponentially. Check my channel and I will upload videos of my progress
@con31773
@con31773 13 лет назад
Needless to say tims movement is incredible, but his philosphy is just so much more inspiring. every time i listen to this or dannys choose not to fall it solidifies my reason to train. Parkour is so much more than a sport, even for those who dont want to train, to understand and live by these morals can help you in life, more people just need to be awakened to this. I just hope parkour doesnt loose this quality as the sport grows.

@AerialDreamz dude, it's not a mistake, please don't see my comment as an offensive judgement, it was just my opinion in general, cuz during these years i been practising this art, i encountered many types of practitionners, and few those who are jealous about the art and having the real principes. i saw your profile, it is good, and thank you for subscribing to mine, i would be available if you would need to know anythin gi can help you with, don't hesitate. nice meeting you :)

@AerialDreamz ppl are still confused about what traceur n free runner definition is.. if you went back to 2005 and 2004 professional videos, before DB & SB & yamakasi separate, y'd know what the real definition & history of this art is.. people should focus about what they are involved into, and not about what logo team i should print on my t-shirt & nickname i should give myself,, Good luck guys, and thx for sharing

@beerfairy He was actually saying "I wouldn't do something if I thought I was risking myself......that might be dangerous to you, it's not dangerous to me" People appear to be promoting the idea that you can get to some 'elite' level where you can eliminate risk, which is very different from humbly accepting that you can still get injured, or even die by messing up the simplest of things that you've done thousands of times without fail. Denial of risk is reckless in itself.

Ahm, so learning to repeat something other people say to you is actual learning. Caging yourself in your head, not using all the potential your body and mind have is perfect. Hey, lets develop ourselves repeating things that we will NEVER use in life in order to get good grades, that actually have barely no influence whatsoever on our future. How many engineers, architects etc etc work at fast food resturants ?
@Da420Milkman
@Da420Milkman 11 лет назад
you don't start out jumping and landing to where it harms your body. You progress. we are not reckless. We jump what we CAN do. What your ready to do. If you jump what your not ready your not doing Parkour. You build your muscles and body. Your body adapts to the things you do everyday, just in everyday situations. We adapt to landing and not harming. We learn HOW to fall to protect ourselves from injury. Learn how to roll. Learn HOW to fall before you can FLY.
@whatisupj
@whatisupj 12 лет назад
that is everyones obstacle, there is no true way of getting rid of fear, the only tip i can give you is to not actually think of the action otherwise you will start to think of all the possibilities both negative and positive that come with it, and your brain will say "no i dont wanna risk it" and most likely what will happen is you will bail. Dont think about it just do it, if you want to decrease the risk get a mattress or try it on your bed once youre ready try it on grass or somewhere soft.
