I absolutely love Imagine Dragons! As a Christian lesbian I was told by my church that I'm damned to hell because of who I am, imagine what that did to my PTSD, as I though they truly excepted me, but they don't. As far as I'm concerned, we are all God's children. Stay strong people😊🙏

This is a public health issue not a gay one across the world where the vast majority of people who are being infected are heterosexuals. Lack of education on the subject can kill you whereas gays have educated themselves on the subject and practice safe sex.
I work with Mormons and when I came out to some of them they were very cool about it. They didn't go on a rant about how I'm going to hell. I find that being more common with so called "Born again Christians."

I'm a Mormon and I honestly don't have a problem with it. A lot of people say that Mormons are against homosexuality but most of us don't really make a big deal about it.
Unless you try to get married, if they don't think its a "big deal" why do they excommunicate members who are in same-sex marriages? Why do they tell gay people they can be gay just never be in love and have a relationship? Why do the gay youth of the church have a huge suicide rate in Utah? You might not think its a big deal but you are allowed to marry, love and find your joy without worrying.
I am an active Mormon who lives in Nebraska my mother had Dan Reynolds play the piano for her in church. I firmly believe that although there will always be hate we should still support those who just want happiness everybody has the right to choose and the right to be happy I know that some of us in our religion may not accept the amazingness of humanity as a whole. What I love about this is that a /straight/ man began a festival directed towards the LGBTQ community. If he were part of the community, it'd be so much easier for the media to go "ah yes, another gay man, pushing his LGBTQ agenda". However, by being a straight ally he forces other straight individuals to question their relationship towards the community, and hopefully show that it's possible to love and accept the community without being part of it. As much as I love LGBTQ representation, having powerful straight allies is such a blessing, and I'm so happy that he's one of them.

I am an active Mormon. I believe that there is a God who is our Father in Heaven and in His Son Jesus Christ. I know that everyone is given trials in this life. I dont think anyone really knows the reason why people feel same gender attraction but I have always been taught to love and be kind to everyone and there are many I know who have those feelings that I still accept in my life. Just love as Jesus has taught us.

Culturally, biologically, spiritually. There are so many non religious ways you can even show this. 2 men together or 2 women together are much more likely to split up/ divorce. Every unbiased study shows that a child’s raising is fullest in a home with a mother and father as role models. Not two of the same gender. Plus, I think the most obvious, is that by your very use of the word “natural” you are using the word nature. As I’m sure you’re aware because you seem really wise, nature has multiple elements in order to exist, one being reproduction. WOW! This report really paints a negative picture about the Mormon religion. NOT something that was done at the LoveLoud Festival, which I attended and LOVED. In fact, during the concert Dan mentioned that he loves his religion, and NOTHING negative was said about it. Sad to see the media take such a hard left approach on this. Of course, I'm not surprised either.
Imagine Dragons is great, they’ve made a big impact in their community and it inspires me to do the same. Being in the church and being gay is really complicated and can be very damaging and even life threatening in some cases. I hope I can be a part of an extensive evolution in the church where we can root out old opinons and prejudices create a culture of pure Christlike love.
This fight for love is so important and I am so grateful this man is using the privilege he has been blessed with to help and protect people who have not been so privileged. My entire family is mormon and I was mormon for over 20 years. I am also bisexual and being raised in that church drove me to near suicide multiple times because of my sexuality and the things they teach in the church. I'm so grateful someone is standing up to the harmful anti-LGBTQ teachings and is actually following love above the church.

I just started coming out to people (including my bishop) & they have done nothing but love me. When you come out i suggest you start with your best friends & tell them in a solitary peaceful place. It will make it a lot more meaningful & will help clarify who you are to yourself & others. Much love & I hope you the best😀

Every day I see things like this that reassures my faith in humanity. I think this new generation is way more open and accepting and in doing so creates bridges to older generations. I'm just optimistic and that's not something I've felt in awhile. So thanks!
One thing I think is absolutely wonderful about the loveloud thing they have going is Imagine Dragons as a group is behind it it's not just Dan Reynolds but the whole group is supportive of it. His band could has just so you know this is not for us or you could do your thing and we don't want to do it and he could have done it on his own but the fact that they're very supportive of this as well is awesome. And the fact that they are all is very much involved in this Festival that they're doing and that message they're trying to get out to the youth that you are beautiful you are needed and you AR somebody who are worth somebody something and need to stay here. Don't let anybody ever tell you that you're not some somebody or you're not worth anything you're worth something you're somebody. There are too many young people we're losing because others are convincing them that they're worthless and that there aren't welcome anymore because of their sexuality, their color, their race, their religion, or even the fact that they are just born because of a disability they might have been born with. The fact is no one can tell you you're worthless and make you worthless without your permission Eleanor Roosevelt said that well something to that tune. Be loud be proud no matter what it is you're being loud and proud of!

That is why I used the word I did. Never did I say I disagree with Scripture. Rather, I disagree in many instances with the way Scripture is being taught and interpreted. Yes, Christians by and large do attend church. However, many do not. Buses in my area do not run on Sundays and generally stop running before most weekday services start. You have no idea how much I would absolutely LOVE to attend a church that was accessible where I could grow. My lack of a church home doesn’t make me less of a Christian. God made everyone uniquely different. If we were all the same, the world would be boring. I did not say you were preaching fire and brimstone. But rather, I said this type of rhetoric along the lines of fire and brimstone, God hates gays, Christians can’t have fun,etc. tends to inadvertently and accidentally portray our Heavenly Father as an angry, vengeful, dictator who is just looking at all the things we do wrong all the time. I just want to have a civilized conversation about some serious topics (that can be pretty hard over the internet). Iv just always been baffled by how people can be gay and Christian. If a Christian is nothing more than a follower of God. Somebody who adheres to the lifestyle recommended by the bible. Then how can you be gay AND a Christian. Romans 1:26-28 says * "26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done."* Im not saying i have all the answers to the universe but this verse (amongst many others) seem to very clearly be against homosexuality. I couldnt find a better way to word these next sentences so i apologize in advance. How can a gay man, who is consistently gay despite supposedly reading the bible, be christian? Is it not the same as a murderer, who is contempt with being a murderer and even murders people on a daily basis, but still goes to church every sunday and considers himself to be a christian. Do you see the fallacies that i consistently see being made by gay "christians"? Again just as i said in the beginning im not attacking you or anything. i typically hate having these conversations over text (or worse, youtube comments) because they might come off the wrong way. @@tazzwayne5238 Yes it's true that the bible was physically written by man. An approximate 40 people were responsible for the physical creation of the bible. However, Christians don't believe that it was man who wrote the bible, but rather God THROUGH the man who wrote the bible. For example, If I were to sit next to you and tell you to write this down : " Blueberry muffins are better than banana muffins." That is MY word not yours. You might not even like Blueberry muffins and think that banana muffins reign supreme. In the same way, God inspired the men who wrote the bible 2 Timothy 3:16 says: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" 2 Peter 1:21 says: "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." So while yes the bible was physically written by Peter, and by Luke, and by many other people, these were not ordinary people. They were people inspired by God and writing the word of God.
Also, on the topic of translating the bible. People often think that because the Bible has been translated several times into every language known to man, it has been largely corrupted by man. And while it's true that some aspects of the bible might be slightly off (as is expected when you translate text) the general ideologies shared in the bible are still present. If the bible was translated from Greek to french. And then that french version into Spanish. And then from the Spanish version to japanese, and then from japanese finally to English, yes the bible would be COMPLETELY different today than how it was originally written. However, the fact of the matter is that most bible translations are taken from the original Greek version. So rather than the scenario I described above, the bible was translated directly from Greek to English, directly from Greek to Spanish, from Greek to japanese, etc. . Since I know that some minor aspects of the bible are always going to be lost to translation, I always try to read the same verse across different versions of the bible. The KJV might not capture the essence of a verse in the same way that the NLT might and vice versa. Also since I'm bilingual, I might even read a verse in English and then in Spanish.

I love imagine dragon, i think i remember him as a youth coming too my house while doing his mission. I think he would remember me. I lost both my parents tragically and i shared my story with him alot

Some of it is a location thing, (the South is just generally homophobic) but honestly it's just cause most of us were told over and over again to love others no matter what.
Good point Charlie .... it's not the mormon people but the mormon religion hierarchy. The people are open and loving but the laws of that religion forbid gay people. They treated African Americans the same way, as well as all other colored people. According to the book of mormon the mormon members had to be "white and delightsome" and they had to engage in plural marriages. Therefore anything that doesnt conform with mormon teaching is detested by the leaders. Many mormon people are leaving the mormon religion every day. They are waking up and coming out.
