Thanks for watching! This is a bit different than my normal content, but I've been wanting to experiment with different types of videos. Would y'all like to see more things like this? Is there anyone on this roster whose moveset you would like me to theorycraft?
It would be! Actually, the video I saw that inspired me to actually put my thoughts into video form explored something very similar to that! It's a good watch and I'd highly recommend it Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uVq-hDkMdTI.htmlsi=TTvUDqNTosuwTrb2
the weapon triangle should be like this: every character has two weapons of different types, some will be tomes or bows, one buttom should be dedicated to attacking with one weapons, and another button uses another weapon, it would be like normal and special attacks in smash, but both would be normal but different, I wouldnt make the triangle do more damage per say, but if a clash happens the triangle advantage would break the loser like in engage, maybe even impeding them from using that weapon for a while
At one point, I was considering having everything be dual type with weapons, but I ran into the problem of WWAAAYY too many sword types. Those if it was implemented for something like this, maybe it'd be an easier pill to swallow. I do like the break idea. Could be fun.
I don't think Nintendo themselves would do this but they might outsource this idea to another studio. Hey it's FE or Pokémon that is gonna have its own platform fighter. Maybe Rivals Studios in the future. Mark my words
Fire Emblem: Legacy Clash? I’m not fully through the video but another way to do the weapon triangle in a fighting game setting is to provide specific options for each weapon type Example: if spears have disjoints universally, the axe hitbox can universally win hitbox trades with it. Or all brawlers have a side step that allow bypassing of projectiles
@@ayanimates8247 it would avoid the scenario of people just counter picking cause everyone is afforded diverse options and some options just happen to counter others! Sure, a brawler might have an advancement tool that denies projectiles, but a mage would still have the ability to play around this option with their myriad of spells.
I would drop the blood sucking stuff from the plot and instead have the villain suck their magical energy, seeing as most of them are linked to dragon lineages and or are talented with magic, it would piss off a lot of fans otherwise and its best to keep it somewhat pg
You make a good point. Though the reason I was willing to use blood draining in the story is IS and Nintendo have been willing to explore some pretty dark and serious themes in past FE games, and I like it when they do. But the magical energy is a good substitute if they want to keep it more PG. As for making fans mad, yes I think part of the story would, especially if continents are destroyed. I was trying to go for something where you would have to think about where you spend your time, but I suppose there is a bit of a flaw now that I think about it further if there's no way to impede the enemy advance. Though this can easily be solved by allowing for a smaller party to break off from your main force to try and impede the enemy advance.
