I like it! I think it'd be super interesting to see a faster time-lapse video of the entire auditorium construction as well - the seats, projectors, carpeting, speakers, etc

I enjoyed this video. Both the play time and the content were sufficient without being overdrawn, the IMAX setup itself was simple and interesting to watch, and the music was contemporary, engaging, and well-suited to the video. 10/10 would bang.

IMAX digital uses 2x Christie 2K DLP projectors one on another resulting in a brighter image (although I believe there has been some changes recently...). Nothing comparable though to the real IMAX 70 mm film which boasts a resolution of up to 12,000 × 8,700, exceeding 8K. However, not all movies have been shot using IMAX cameras (higher costs, noise and difficult handling). To be shown on those big screens, they undergo a proprietary remastering process called IMAX DMR Blowup.

4K at most, which means they're not IMAX. 70mm IMAX film is approximately 16K.

It's a digital IMAX, you're probably used to the 70mm.

@@largeformatmaster2994 There's no such thing as digital IMAX, at least not yet. At this time, anything digital with the IMAX name slapped on it is a scam, known as LIEmax. Once digital is able to match the approximately 16K resolution of 70mm IMAX film, true digital IMAX will be possible.

If you're referring to real IMAX, running 15-perf 70mm film, it is not. That has a resolution of approximately 16K, so it won't be out of date until digital can match that. If you're referring to digital, it's not IMAX because it can't yet match the resolution of IMAX film.

No such thing exists yet. It would need to match the approximately 16K resolution of 70mm IMAX film to truly be called IMAX.

@@LOC-Ness It's still a ways out. Keep in mind we don't even have a viable 8K cinema workflow yet. It's not enough to have cameras that can shoot in that resolution. It's not even enough to also have projectors that can project in that resolution. All the steps in-between need to be done in that resolution too, and so far the best we can do is 4K.
