7:27 lemme put in my 2 cents rq (if u dont care, dont read, simple) tbh the first sonic movie was too much of a buddy cop movie than a sonic movie. it was still good but not enough sonic content. sonic movie 2 was everything i asked for in the first movie. if you cut out the human scenes and add more of tails for a character arc it would be better imo. id say sonic 2 over mario but mario over sonic 1. the mario movie is rlly well rounded sonic frontiers was pretty good as a sonic game. for the past 10yrs we been getting either mid or dookie games so sonic frontiers was a step in the right direction. mixing the open world and boost gameplay was something new. ofc its not perfect and has alot of room for improvement (too much 2d, weird physics at time etc). comparing sonic and mario, overall mario and nintendo games in general are more well rounded and polished. sonic team have cool ideas but their executions are hit or miss and often get rushed by sega, not giving them enough time to fully realize and polish the game sonic ofc isnt for everyone so im not gonna shit on ppl for their opinion, i just like yappin abt shit i like.
