Hello and welcome. Today we take a look at a IMI Desert Eagle. The original "Baby Eagle" Generation 1. Manufactured in May 1996, yes, 28 years old. It's such a nice handgun and I truly enjoyed shooting it. I called ‪@KahrFirearmsGroup‬ Magnum Research and got some good info from them. They were very helpful and I appreciate their time.

Such a great looking gun!! Very aesthetically pleasing and in my eyes how a gun should be made, all steel. They really seem to have made an idea all round pistol, thinner than the 92f and so compact!

I have the IMI 941 SAO. Basically, it's the same, but in single action.. Well built. Thin compared to a 92fs. Very accurate up to 35-40yrds (at least for me). Great night stand pistol.

Nice video. I clicked on cause it said Baby Desert Eagle .I have the hole family the Desert Eagle 44 Magnum and Baby Desert Eagle gen 3 in 45 and Desert Eagle 1911 in 45 .

I own a P941 Jericho 9mm, and although the model has being discontinued from manufacturing, it's a joy to shoot and to EDC...💪🏽

Thanks for another great video. The Jericho 941 is an under appreciated pistol that can be easily upgraded for an eight pound DA & three and a half pound SA trigger weight. It is accurate, well balanced and rugged. The firing pin retention plate and safety that can be engaged with the hammer cocked or uncocked are what makes it better than the CZ 75 in my opinion.

I have the P941 Jericho 9mm and it’s a great pistol to shoot. The recoil is very light and really keep you on target.

My roommate bought one of those at a gun show back in the ‘90s. I liked it so much I bought one in .40. What can I say? It was the ‘90s… Really a nice shooter. We had a larger model than the more compact one you are showing. Cheers!

I got both the IMI 941FB & 941 F and agree they are straight shooting & they can be cocked & locked when in open hammer, half cocked and hammer down.

A 'baby Desert Eagle,' is like having a 'baby whopper.' A desert has miles and miles of open spaces, requiring a long range fire arm. The Australian Army used 303 Lee Enfield bolt action rifles for the infantry, the captain was issued with a 38 revolver to enforce the orders. Bolt action rifles and revolvers are less susceptible to jamming, especially with fine Saharan Desert sand. This IMI Desert Eagle is a nice looking 9mm handgun, despite the name.

I gave my ex-wife (before the ex-part) one of these back around 1999 or so. Hers was DAO with a pretty nice trigger. She didn't shoot often but had no trouble putting bullets wherever she wanted. Hers had a steady diet of +p+ (Federal 9BPLE) and I saw no indication of excessive wear. She carried hers all the time in a backpack purse/holster thing. It's a heavy little thing compared to say a baby Glock, but it soaks up recoil and shoots great. I miss that little gun.

Nice review. Some of those will take CZ75 mags if IMI/IWI branded mags are too much $. I used Mec-Gar CZ mags in one I used to have. Never should have traded it.

"We are empty"?! Everything else makes sense. Not sure about the frame mounted safety as an Gen. 1 indication. If my memory serves me well, IMI Jericho (the official Israeli name) first came out in the early eighties with a slide mounted safety / decocker lever and in DA/SA. Again, I might be wrong.

I almost bought one of those in 40 smith. I did buy a different CZ variant in 40 Smith when I went to a carry gun that was no longer a revolver. I have been trying to get a 357 Sig Barrel for it. But the 40 Smith does me just fine. I still find the 9mm is under powered. I don't care what the FBI says I've been teaching people to shoot longer than most of the FBI have been alive. There is no way that 40 Smith and 9 mm should be considered equal to each other. Because it is not true

I thought the israeli weapon factory IMI (Israeli Weapon Industry) renamed many years ago to IWI (Israeli Weapons Indrusty) This is a mini Jericho The Jericho was a big hit in the 90s, but today it is considered an outdated pistol

I can see the CZ 75 P-01 INFLUENCE (COPY), TYPE RAIL , LOW FRAME ANGLE, SLIDE STOP , SAFETY, TRIGGER, MAG RELEASE SHAPE . ON THE CZ 75 SP-01 the frame rail at the front of the slide didn't get chamfered where it stick off past the slide , don't know why CZ didn't finish that off smooth.

It appears to be a derivative of the CZ-75 like many of the IWI pistols of that era.

It's a Small Frame Tanfoglio TA-90 inside; a lot of the parts are actually sourced from them (you'd often see small FT or Fratelli Tanfoglio markings). Tanfoglio used to supply pistols to Israel so it made sense for their industries (IWI and BUL) to follow that template.

Gun looks good but, in my opinion, Having a desert E chambered in 9 mm kinda defeats the purpose of owning a Desert Eagle, most people only want them because its known for shooting 50 Cal or 44 mags so, sweet looking gun but Nahh i'll pass on it.

Nice video. That other magazine should be 13 rounder in 9x19 if it is same dimensions as this one shown here. There was model Jericho 941 FS and that one was “crossover” like Glock 19X. Short barrel and full size grip. That one will hold 15.

There is nothing "desert eagle" about this pistol. Just silly branding to create interest. It is a CZ clone. Dozens if not hundreds of others like this pistol.

It's sort of shaped like one, even if it doesn't share anything with the DE. Internally it's just another licensed Tanfoglio design.
