Hello and welcome to MDpolo Gun Channel. The goal of this channel is to not only showcase the new and trendy firearms, but to perhaps introduce you to special firearms that may not yet be mainstream. I have been involved with firearms since a very young age and I will use this experience to produce the best videos that I can for you. However, you will not see any military or tactical videos here. The focus is on table-top reviews and shooting range videos. From time to time I will showcase a T&E firearm or one borrowed from a friend. I will always disclose that to you in the video. Otherwise, all firearms shown are from my collection.

Ironically I like everything about these but the antistress mode. Having a da/sa mode that is also sometimes in basically HK LEM mode is too much for me.
I in fact did buy one. It had the custom Zev grip module. Much more grippy than the stock. I also took out the trigger and put it in armory craft. I didn’t really like it that much as it hits the wall and 90° and breaks well beyond that. Two different from other triggers for me. I put in an M CARBO kit and trigger and now it’s pretty tight. But it still has the typical creep. Just shorter. What you’re really buying is a new slide and a new barrel and a custom stippled plastic grip.
I've found that if you choke up on the grip? The smaller handles work great with either caliber. I have really big hands but again, if I choke way up on the grip, not only is the recoil much more manageable but, I can get my middle as well as ring finger in the first notch. I wouldn't say it's comfortable at first. But you can get a good purchase on the rose wood grips. Beautiful gun btw. I do prefer the 586L Comp. But only because of the extra round.
so funny...the AXG Scorpion as of today 07/13/2024 can be bought for under 1000.00 at any Bass Pro. Can also be bought for less than 950.00 on other sites.
Is it viable? Of course. Would I carry it? Yep; if I owned this and had no, or low, budget for firearms it's plenty good. Now, if I had this and an extra couple hundred $ burning a hole in my pocket? I'd go trade it in for credit towards a Shield Plus PC, and specifically the 4" optics ready version. The extra barrel length changed the entire gun for me, and I really don't feel the need for porting with how much nicer the balance is... almost like a full-width compact. Also like the reduced carbon buildup on my optic/slide lol but it's all relative. I've owned and tried nearly every modern striker gun out there, and it's still my favorite carry piece. S&W also just released a threaded barrel OR version with a fancier looking 3" slide, 3.7" barrel. Seems kinda pointless to create an updated variant without adding an accessory rail of some kind, but I get it... holster compatibility + more cool factor means (theoretically) more sales. But who in the hell bothers suppressing a Shield? Lol supp'd tilting barrels are bad enough to begin with.
@@MDpolo trigger, hammer and cylinder locked up after the 26th shot. Sent it in, they replaced everything except the frame and cylinder including the barrel leaving a 5mm long splinter in the frame where the barrel joins.
Nice review! I think the PC Shields really are the gems in the line up & are certainly worth it if your budget permits them. I tend towards duty sized pistols for carry, but if your needs or environment dictate something smaller or more discrete, this is an excellent option, imo. 👍👍
I went from the 1st Shield to the PC Shield. I now carry the PC Shield, 2.0. It is hands down the best shooting pistol I have!! It's the only EDC for me!! Glad you took another look! Nicely done!
I had one and sold it. It was reliable for me and felt better in my hand than any other micro, but for a carry gun I thought the trigger felt much too light. Everyone is different but that's what did it for me.
I traded a CZ Shadow for one. It’s a wonderful revolver except it’s suffering from hammer push off. So bad I can’t shoot single action at all. Of course there’s no warranty for the second owner, so I’ll be out a couple hundred for repairs.
@MDpolo it is everything I have heard and more. It has to be the best striker-fired trigger I have ever felt in my years of handling them since their inception. My only grip is the mags; for those of us that want to carry it, the 18 rounder is just not concealable. I carried it appendix and it was OK, but certainly not ideal. 2 18s and a flush 15 that could be used with removal of the mag well would have been welcomed by me. I ordered a 15 round pdp mag for it that will be here on Tuesday! I love love love this pistol!!!!
I love these belts and I can tell you Kore has totally upgraded the belts over the last couple years. I know cause I own 3 now and my first 1 is leather and is 6 years old and still works perfectly. Newer models are even nicer imo and they have smaller buckles. I alos own 1 of their molle style battle belts in coyote for the range and the adjustment feature is outstanding. It is hands down the best range belt I ever tried and Ive had a few.
I tried a KORE Essentials belt. I like the fact that it is very size adjustable, but like most belts with a buckle, I found the buckle too bulky and I didn't like having to wear the buckle over to the side since I carry appendix. I finally found the Wolf Tactical Heavy Duty Simple EDC Belt about 3 years ago. This is an infinitely adjustable belt without a buckle. It's extremely simple to use and supports my CZ-P07 in a kydex holster as well as any other belt I've tried. I wear it every day and it still looks great and does the job. Finally, they are very affordable, currently $27.99 on amazon. Highly recommended.
Thank you very much for the suggestion. I’ll check them out since I didn’t know about them. As always, thank you for stopping by. Update: just ordered a Wolf Tactical Simple EDC belt.
I made my Shields into Subcompacts. I Bought a 3 5/8 inch Treaded Barrel for my 9mm Shield Plus from True Precision, A Hogue Grip. Also have a 9mm Shield with Trigger upgrade, New Adjustable Sites. and a 3 5/8 inch Faxon Barrel. Also a Hogue Grip. I bought the Shield a month before buying a Shield Plus. Great Stability and Accuracy. Shooting 12 ounces hanging Beer cans 20 yards easy and 40 yards Body size Targets. Reliability No Change. No Optic Cuts, Anyway I am Very happy with them.
Respectfully, nothing wrong with my grip. Besides, four different shooters had the same issue with this particular sample. Thank you very much for stopping by.
I think this is a great idea for a review. I have been wearing a gray one with a stainless buckle for over a year with no issues. I didn’t go with the leather because I don’t dress up much, so I have not noticed any wear so far other than scratching on the buckle. A friend of mine hates the system and has been using something else but so far I have no issues whatsoever. It is my only belt at this time, whether I carry or not and more often than not I don’t carry tbh.
Thank you for your kind words. These two belts are my only experience with this company. Maybe I’ll look into what they offer other than leather. I appreciate you stopping by.
