KOL 49 I tweeted Marques and told him to put it on there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 but this album never made it to the billboard charts so that’s probably the reason. Idk.
The original song that was sampled was the lady of my life by Michael jackson, janet sampled it with funny how time flys, Al B Sure sampled it with nite n day, immature sampled it with this song and usher sampled it with there goes my baby.
@jakubnike66 man what is you yapping about, they can annoyed it's not on Spotify or apple music, they’re music apps, so we would expect them to the song. You are tripping.
Cause the radio station employees listen to a boss and their boss and you know how it goes...its a chain... And somewhere over the years as times change they lost what flavor really is and the flavor they do recognize...they barely play it lol
quincyweaver52 they get a list of songs that they HAVE to play because the industry chose certain artists and songs. that's why EVERY major radio station plays the same music no matter what city
@@ksager123 yeah i know.... Its just seem that the list group of songs now could be better... I can listen to some songs now on all these artists albums and say " this one should have been on radio or video "... And the song just goes unotice to the popular crowd... Thats why we get alot of ppl that say years later when they finally hear it , they be like " why haven't i heard this song " "why haven't this blown up "... Some songs be better than the ones thats chose for radio
Misan Okorodudu lady in my life came out way before nite and day. Now more samples may have been used more from nite and day but the sample I’m hearing sounds familiar from lady in my life.
Most likely he was debunked by “allegations” though when I see this side I think it was stripped from him🥺 all I see is a baby. Like ppl don’t understand he was just a baby but that’s no excuse, It’s just sad.
Me at 38 my daughter at 16 where listening to Megan the Stallion and she asked me “Mommy who is that singing on the intro ?” I told her Immature and I’m so glad that I was able to teach her about the music from my era and I greatly appreciate a new artist bringing great music back to life 🎧
Tone Blanco obviously she didn’t make the beat if it existed before she was born. Please learn what liner notes and sampling are and try to keep up. Producers, composers, and songwriters are easy to look up
Immature and Al B Sure both sampled and took inspiration from Janet Jackson "Funny How Time Flies" 1986: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6xUk_1AlErU.html
I have this on cassette 😁 I miss these days, I got my cousin onto them, and then my grandma and aunt took both of us to see them in concert when they went on tour for their 2nd album it was AWESOME!
@@thereshego5324 that's so awesome! Which one was your top favorite? Romeo was mine. Yes I know he had a serious eye injury that caused him to wear a patch, but it gave him so much swag 🥰💯❤️
@@TheBizzMiss so cool ❤️...oh the nostalgia. When I heard they reunited and toured like what 1 or 2 years ago now with some other "throwback artists" I wanted to go so badly but wasn't in a comfortable financial place. So upset I missed an opportunity to see them for a 2nd time. Which one was your top favorite. For me it's Romeo. 💯❤️🥰
I was today years old when I realized; that’s Brandy Norwood making the request at the beginning!! BTW, Megan brought me here. Nostalgic Memories !!! 😊
Yup! Here because of I heard Meagan’s song and was curious about the sample because it’s like that....but these guys obviously gave her the blueprint! Just keepin’ it 💯#Respect
The difference between "On Our Worst Behavior" and "Playtyme Is Over" is astounding...you can tell they were riding the tail end of the new jack phase in the first one...
@@AleapiaKuteFashion yes! Whenever I got any money I was at the store buying right on and sister to sister magazine. I'm so mad I lost those. We moved around quite a bit and sometimes we lost our storage units and that's where I kept my magazines. It was all bad, LOL. I even tried to help my brother feel better by putting some unknown girl group on the wall in one tiny space. LOL. We got into argument one day and he went in the room and ripped down a few posters. I wore his tail out. LOL. I was an immature fanatic!
@@Shesha626 Girl I knew you did had the Magazines because I did the same thing when I got some money. I found some of my old Magazines the other day. I even did back orders bad in the day too. To get the Magazines I wanted too. Our era was the best tho!

Megan may have used this sample, but being a Houston TX native, I promise you DJ Dmd's song "25 Lighters" with Fat Pat and Lil KeKe is what inspired Big Ole Freak. Straight Legendary H-Town classic jam!
I swear I loved Immature growing up and I kept hearing Megan song like "this sounds familiar" but when I found out it was this sample I couldn't remember this song 🤦🏾♀️ I only remember Al B Sure
Congrats to all the people that came here from Megan. I’m glad y’all searching in the archives. The future is also brighter when you know how u got there...✊🏽🙌🏾
Found this cassette tape in my old room today. Had to come listen to it! Idk how i forgot about this song xD this and lovers groove were always on repeat!!
Parts of this song sounds like Al b sure, Lisa Lisa & cult jam and Janet Jackson’s “Funny how time flies” especially towards the end when Marcus is singing “don’t you ever leave”
oouu another banger to add on the wedding playlist. omg imagine playing this then your dj mixes this with big ole freak. whew chile my wedding bout to be LIT
Everyone seems to think this song doesn’t belong to them. They can vaguely remember, it wasn’t a big radio hit. Then you’re thinking, “that couldn’t have been immature”. They were 8 years old at the time singing about love...of course it doesn’t sound right lol. It’s just one of those 90s style music that seems to fit. This song was super underrated and so was the group.
I'm 36 yrs old. I remember being a HUGE Immature fan when I was a teen and still have Playtime is Over sitting in my CD book (yes I still have all of mine lol) 😂😍 I like Meg music too❤
Time line goes Lady in my life 1982 Funny how time flies 1986 Nite and day 1988 (my birth year) Then this was early 90s. Megans big ole freak is literally derived from these songs (not a lot of michael influence but its there) and shows the evolution of sampling music. I love figuring out how far samples go back.
OMG it was driving me crazy trying to figure out the song in the beginning of Big Ol' Freak! That's why I like that song because I love my Ol' School music.
Oldschool of the 90s is so real look at the babies sings Marques Houston i love yall nice music that yall put together i remember this because it brings back my childhood days when they useto come on tv the music video
