Immersed on the Pico 4 

This looks so good now, is 15% off where I am, and the big plus point, is not part of Facebook. BUT the Quest 3 sounds like it's going to be the same price and much better. Really torn (because I hate Facebook).

Thanks man, I appreciate you checking it out! Yeah, it's super useful.. there's even a way to do a virtual ultrawide, even if you don't have a hardware one hooked up.. it's pretty sweet. Just the control you have, over the placement, size and resolution of the displays is awesome.

Yes, I would definitely say so

The application actually performs better than the Quest Pro, but the test is a little less sharp. I think it has to do with the processing that makes some of the text "shimmer". Also, it's not just a out the lenses or resolution. The Pro has back lit LCDs, which allows for deeper blacks, so it's possible it's just a contrast thing. The difference is not huge, it's only a slight difference.

@@eevnosvr Also, with v51 PTC the Quest Pro now supports Local Dimming for all PCVR. Neither the Pico 4 or Quest 2 can do this.

@@eevnosvr I'm also surprised on the Pro > Pico given the pretty significant PPD gap. You're saying the other bits make up for that gap. Would you indeed say that it would be easier to work (eg program) for extended hours in Immersed on a Pro, rather than a Pico? I know it sounds like an obvious question given the video, I just wanna get a double confirmation since it just seems like such an odd winner given the resolution gap.

@@eevnosvr umm, Pico 4 has 2 lcd screens. Says so in their site/ specs.

Haha.. yeah, definitely need to clean it. I can't really explain it unless you experience it. I felt the same way, the it was just gimmicky, until I tried it. It actually is way more productive and you have complete control over the size and layout of the screens.. plus you can add displays that you don't physically have. Also, I've had a pinched nerve for a few months and, ergonomically, this is way better. I can get a specific setup and bring the monitor in closer, if I need to, rather than leaning forward. I've been doing all my personal / RU-vid work in here for the past couple of weeks, definitely a game changer.

If people use the Ready Player Me avatar then it works fine. If I learn that the person, that I'm chatting with, has a Pico I always change my avatar so they can see it. 😉

A solution to this is already in motion.

I disagree, I've been working in VR for several weeks now and find it more difficult to work with just monitors IRL, it's far more limiting. The freedom of being able to position up to 5 displays wherever you want, at whatever scale and resolution you want, is a game changer. If you're doing work where you need color accuracy or pixel point clarity then I would agree, otherwise the benefits far outweigh the negatives in my experience and opinion.
