The broth is on point (SOOO yummy!), but the noodles themselves were a big fat fail. So I have to politely disagree, they are not even remotely close to traditional ramen. And I tried different cooking times to see if anything would help, but sadly it didn’t. For me, ramen is all about the noodle. You can make your own broth at home without a lot of effort. The noodles on the other hand are the hardest, at least to make on your own and have them be considered keto and taste like actual ramen noodles. Oh and not to mention, the package size is about half the size of most other traditional ramen. I’m not talking about the 25 cent packs of no frill Maruchan….I’m more talking about ramen made by brands like Samyang and Neoguri that are $2-3 and are closer to 4oz. per package. You’d have to eat 2 of these Immi ones and by the time you do that, it’s just not worth the amount of carbs for me. I’d rather just have a cheat day and eat the traditional one. Immi also uses palm oil and seed oil, but they boast they are trying to contain healthier ingredients in them but those oils are far from that. I’m not saying traditional ramen doesn’t have those too, but they’re not advertising themselves as a healthy alternative. I wanted to like it, I really did!
Sorry I try this Immi Ramen and I tastes like cardboard no matter how long I boil the noodles for at that price I thought it would be better. ( $6.50 a pack)
Gonna agree with you there. Just got mine in the mail today and they tasted like I was eating flavored rubber. Noodles were mid at best! Hopefully I can get a refund!
I like the beef one. The noodles definitely work for me. Not like a traditional noodle, but I agree with a couple of reviewers that say it is still a satisfying texture and flavor, albeit different. I just ate a two pack meal, so check with me in a minute, but so far, no bloating that I normally experience with conventional ramen. Ramen, is after all, deep fried, low quality carbs, and the broth packets are often loaded with ingredients that are not natural and inflammatory. Please note, however, that Immi has lots of wheat gluten, and they use seed oils, if those things concern you.
Most people are eating instant ramen because it's dirt cheap, so i don't really know how this would help people be healthy. I think the people that struggle with malnutrition due to poverty won't be helped by this.
I bought a couple packages of Immi ramen that I haven't tried yet. I was wondering if anyone has put them into an asian salad and how that would work out.
There’s definitely a difference between instant and traditional ramen but I have to say immi is way better than the 99 cents instant ramen I used to buy that way loaded with sodium.
These were so gross! Noodles tasted weird and the texture was like rubber! Forced myself to eat 3 bites and threw the garbage away. Doesn’t even taste like food
Alright come here if you want something actually honest. This stuff is so dang artificial tasting its horrific. And it's every flavor that is bad! The noodles texture isn't very bad but the broth is chemical nonsense. It's crazy to me because I would think a tasty low calorie broth packet wouldn't be difficult.. But they find issues with this. There's a lack of depth. There's very little salt and even after correcting the salt (which salinity imo is overblown to sound like death incarnate) the taste is just more of a terrible thing. I really think this stuff is garbage and i wouldn't spend another dime on it. I would rather eat hummus and carrots which would probably offer a similar nutrient profile. Make a stew with cauliflower. Make and freeze your own stock use some zucchini noodles. Heck anything else. Just don't delude your self into thinking this is good food.
