Love that voice. Very hard to imitate Robert Plant. In the days of my youth I did try, but I couldn't hit those high notes with any power. She powers through every range. Seriously impressive.
At first I thought, how are they going to do this song with Plants wailing in the beginning? No way can anyone do it! Then she starts singing and just owns it! She raises the Roof with her voice! No problem! That’s Talent! God Given I think! Bravo! 👏🏻🎸😎
@@Nichwar19 Most guys can’t sing that high with a few notable exceptions. Plant has quite a range and he could change his voice. He is versatile. And the late, great Brad Delp could sing high notes like nobody’s business!
I actually like this version better than the original, didn't think that was possible! She has all the original power in her voice and straining less on the higher notes.
@@DS-qu2rs Incredible, isn’t it? I like both versions! She definitely brings a different flavor to the song with her voice. It’s like choosing between Chocolate 🍫 and Toffee. They’re both good but it depends on what you’re in the mood for. Neither is necessarily better than the other. To use another analogy, when I was a kid I used to always get Chocolate 🍫 Ice Cream 🍨! And my Dad always got Vanilla! He loved Vanilla’s flavor! So you like what you like! She’s fantastic and the band is good too! I never hear anyone cover a Zeppelin song and think it’s as good as the original with the sole of exception of this group and Ann Wilson when she sings Rock n Roll or Stairway. She’s great, too! Kudos to this group though! They are special! There’s a depth and timber in her voice that I really like! Wonderful! 👏🏻😎
Really...this is probably the most faithful Zep cover I've ever heard, as a hardcore Zep fan for 35 years. No dramatics, no props...just awesome music. Great job, folks!
This is such a hard song to sing. I thkn there is no room for doubt, it has to be sung with absolute seriousness and confidence or ti comes out sounding ridiculous (as it does every tiem I sing along in the car!) But this woman knocks it out of the park!!! Really fantastic. And the band is awesome too.
Together, they nail it! Just shows that the original rock vocals were sung so high, they can be easily matched by a female vocalist...make of it what you will
solid as hell, and obviously it's how the singer handles plant, nailed it. love the bass runs on the bridge. made me think of the first time i heard this song back when it came out, this really captures that.
I thought I'd be trampled underfoot listening to this, just click next vid and ramble on. Not only was this performed w/ a whole lotta love, but there wasn't even a hint of communication breakdown. Celebration day for me! Nice job
Plant was most exciting at the top his range. At some point he started to lose the real top so if you hear live versions of Stairway you don’t hear the same high notes as you do in the studio.
Huge Led Zep fan here and was honestly not expecting much - but wow! Nice job all the way around! Love the singers voice! Great depth and fullness. She really gets the song. Kept it close to the original but still made it her own in subtle ways. Great job. Will look for more from this group.
@@tangerine2569 I know it may be tough, but with that voice and the range you have, you should do a song like "Someone to love" which is a Jefferson Airplane song but I would like to hear you do it. Honestly? Professional singer or not, I wold put you in front of any hard rick bank=d still playing.
Geez. I listen to the original. I listened to Heart at the Kennedy Center playing in front of LZ and the President. I listened to this. I have no idea what version is best. Awesome job!
I can be a super critic when it comes to Zep Music especially the vocals. She is Great! Phrasing/timing is kick ass! Her presence shows a natural appreciation for everthing this music's about.
