Jennifer, you will never know how many people you helped during and after the pandemic with your amazing Vlogs !!!!! I will forever be thankful and grateful for you !!!!!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2024 !
Hi Jennifer, I'm just back from a month in the PH and I can report that at least for me, the E-Travel QR-Code at Terminal 3 was finally the godsent it was supposed to be haha I arrived at Immigration 5th in line, and all the officers wanted to see was the passport and QR-Code. All people in front of me didn't have their QR and got sent back to fill out the questions online with the help of an agent, so suddenly i was 1st in line. It took the immigration officer just 5 seconds to check my QR code and passport and give me my entry visa stamp. Immigration was never ever that quick for me at NAIA lol The american fiance of a friend of my girlfriend arrived a few days later and he would've forgotten the e-travel QR code. We reminded him and he later reported he had the same fast and seamless experience in immigration as me with his QR code haha For the first time in my life i can compliment NAIA on a great implementation of immigration :) I'm not even Filipino but that makes me proud after so many years of only bad and slow experiences at Immigration in NAIA haha
Great seeing you, Jennifer! Missed your weekly updates! You ALWAYS provide great info and everyone enjoys your Channel! We all love you! Mark in Dallas. 😊
Wow Jennifer you improved a lot.. I cannot pin point it maybe your eyebrows and the way you talk very confident na.. Congrats.. It’s been over a year that I have not watched your program.. Since I have not traveled anymore.. TC and God bless
Welcome back, you’re the only travel informer that I listen to. Glad to hear you not mention that you need a return ticket in those 30 days, many other channels are still saying you need a throwaway ticket 🤷♂️ I’ve already visited the phils for 2 months + twice in the past 18 months just using my normal return ticket. I’m spending another 3 months there from the 30th November only using my normal return ticket then extending when I’m there.
Foreign passport holders travelling to the Philippines visa-free **do** need proof of onward travel out of the Philippines within 30 days. This requirement is checked by your airline before you board so yes, either a legit return ticket within 30 days or throwaway or rental ticket is required. Technically, for visa-free entry you must comply with the intention to leave within 30 days, arrive, and then change your intention after you arrive (and extend your visa). If you intend to enter for longer than 30 days you would need a visa first. The throwaway or rental ticket lets you comply and defy :)
@@ytcanosimply not true in my experience. If you noted Jennifer didn’t mention it either. Have you traveled to the Phils in the past 18 months ? Where you asked for a return ticket within the first 30 days visa ? As mentioned previously I’ve had 2 trips both over 2 months and had no problem on entry.
@@sentinel80 Yes. I went a couple of months ago. The airline would not allow me to check in until I could prove I was leaving within 30 days. I had to rent a ticket while standing at the airport. You might slip by if you have a return flight booked, but a careful gate agent will deny you boarding if the return is past 30 days from arrival.
@@sentinel80just left Rome for manila yesterday, refused boarding as didn't have return ticket out of Philippines within 30 days. The Singapore Airlines computer rejected passage.
To all the tourist type travellers who overstay their 30 day visa in the Philippines. I thought it is 90 days but just before I got to the plane immigration in Naia (T3) stopped me cold, I had stayed 60 days. I was in a hurry even though I had arrived to check in 3 hours plus early, I was in a hurry by the time I reached the immigration counter. Now I was running to the one stop shop..(not too far) to pay my approx. 4000 p (fine/fee). I didn't have enough peso but luckily I had a 100 dollar bill. So I keep on running to the money changer (also not far), got the peso, run back to one stop counter, paid, run with the paperwork, back to immigration and, finally, to the gate, it all worked out, but if I didnt have 100 dollars, if there had been long lines, I would have missed the plane! This all worked because I was leaving from T3. I have no idea what would happen if you are flying out of T1 and get into a bind! So use the online option! Save your stress for your arrival in the USA!
Glad your still doing these Jenn, I've been watching you for more than 5 years now and you have helped me numerous times. Thanks. I am completing my final year in December for my Philippines Permanent Residency Visa using an attorney in Davao too complete this. Maybe you could do a Blog about these someday..
Arrived at Mactan Island, LAPU LAPU, my wife and I arrived Wed. at 1:45 am and about 30 min. later we were at our home. Away from the cold of Wash. State for the next 4 months.
You are correct on getting dual abroad. In LA California it takes one da if you get to the consolate at 9am. You will take ought at 3pm and you are done
Salamat Jennifer…maghihintay ako sa extrang 29days law. My next door neighbor umuwi ngayon diyan nitong Nov 2023. Yearly silang umuuwing mag asawa. Ikaw rin ang itinutukoy niyang sinusundan niyang palagi sa mga bagong rules nang pag uwi sa Pinas. God bless! 😇🇵🇭🇺🇸
😁 It might take awhile before the extra 30 days comes into place. However, if you are covered by the Balikbayan Privilege you can get 1 yr visa free entry & stay po now.
I completed my e-travel when I traveled in July.. I was about to show my screenshot but the immigration officer did not need it as my passport and etravel pass was logged on their system. This was at Clark Airport, (very efficient)
Nice to see you again Jennifer I love your hair I'm going back in February 6 to visit my wife daughters and granddaughter I really miss the Philippines
When you was new to this, I watched your show to get updates on immigration. I want to thank you for all the hard work you did. Now, that Covid is not getting much attention, you should cover rules governing Filipinas traveling with foreign boyfriends outside the Philippines. Many foreign tourists or expats like to take their significant others to other countries like Thailand or Vietnam, etc, for vacations.
If the Filipina is going on sponsored travel, she must show proof of accommodation, proof of relationship (such as pics together, if sponsor is her BF/ partner/ spouse). She must also have an authenticated Affidavit of Support from her sponsor. She must also have a return ticket. She must be prepared to undergo a "secondary inspection/ interview" at passport control (at the airport). If sponsor is in PH and is travelling with her, then they can go to a lawyer and have the lawyer make an AOS. If going to the guy's country, then the AOS must be authenticated in the PH embassy of that country. If they'll meet in a 3rd country (example TH, SG, VN, etc) then the AOS can come from the PH embassy of the guy's country. If the Filipina will be self-financed, then she must show proof of income (job or business), accommodation, itinerary, return ticket, etc.
@@kitty_s23456 Good morning. We are now in Thailand. Fortunately I have completed all your mentioned requirements. I am a dual citizen Filipino/US). When we get back from Thailand, we will start the process for her US visa. Any specific things I have to do other than what you mentioned for her visa. Thank you.
@@simplyfilipino6408 you're welcome. For the US visa, she needs to apply via the US embassy website. For the visa interview, she won't need an AOS (yet). She'll need the AOS from you if she gets granted a visa & will need the AOS to pass through PH immigration. (aside from others like your address in the US and proof of your relationship) For the US visa, it takes 3 to 6 months to get a visa interview schedule (depends on how full the schedule/ website is). What's important for the US visa is proof of own financial capacity and strong ties to home country. Travel history is a plus factor. Does she have travel history aside from Thailand? Does she have a good, regular job/ business? If yes, how long has she been with her job/ business? (These questions are to assess her chance of being granted a visa.) It's very hard (but not impossible) for young, single Filipinos/ Filipinas to get a tourist visa for the US. Reason: risk of migration/ overstay. Good luck.
Is the govt concerned at all about the ever increasing scammers in the Philippines or are officials ( govt and private)that are running it. Too many fees are being charged in the Philippines. They simply do not keep it simple.
During Covid days, I declared that I am a dual citizen and showed them the proof. I think it's easier just show my foreign passport and get done. People outside the airport will not ask "Are you a dual citizen?" And E travel makes it easier...
If your stay is 30 days or less, then no need to declare that you're dual or former Filipino - you can just use your foreign passport. If your stay is > 30 days, then that's when it's good to have proof of being dual or former Filipino.
Too many hoops to jump!!! Why on earth would you need to go through all of this, when in fact the bureau of immigration has all the records. The human traffickers doesn't even use immigration. 😮😢
Thanks, Jennifer! Really we can get an extension visa online after of the free 30 days? Waver visa? They will send us the document with the extension to our email after paying it? Thanks in advance.I have the ACR- card still active even its date expiration will be over March. After a waver visa online , if the ACR- card is active , can we get an extension for example of 6 months or two months online?
Expect problems going online. I have valid ACR card, up to date on all visa extensions, but when I go online and enter the required information, it messages “failed-ACR card not on file”. I’m not a betting man but I would have bet ahead of time that I would have issues. I’m not going to risk the airport for exit clearance so now I have to make my way to an immigration office to do in person. Sometimes you make everything sound so easy Jennifer. Remember, this is the Philippines, not USA or Canada
Yes One Stop Shop was easy BUT if you intend staying longer than 59 days (30 + 29 day ext). they will not give 2 ext - only a single ext. for the 29 days. I asked if I could do a 6 mnth ext- no! I am staying 4 mnths so I must return to a BIR office before the 59 days expires and then my next ext will be for 6 mnths. even tho I will only need 70 days of that.
Thank you jen and welcome back we miss you . Okay thank you for the info you always do a great job helping us out. Really appreciated. So jennifer have a wonderful so lovely christmas You and your family. And hope it's a safe one with a lot of blessing . God bless you aways
Hi miss Jennifer, tanong lng po, i came back from Australia lat Friday, just q tourist visa, need to exit kasi patapos na ang 3months visit ko,, tanong ko po, if ever babqlik ng Australia kailangqn bq ulit ng Affidavit of Support kc sponsor ako ng bf ko, this will be my 2nd visit after Christmas. Or yong AOS ko dati ang gagamitin uli or kukuha ba ulit.
Hello back Jennifer. we missed you. Cool vid as always. If u need ideas i might have something. I was in the Philippines last month, and fell in love hard with this beautiful country. Now i am planning for my girlfriend to come over to Germany. Lots of documents, applying for the visa etc. Maybe you could do the video About that.
Your GF will need the visa and authenticated Affidavit of Support from you (the sponsor). She will also need a copy of your passport, travel stamps to PH (if there are), proof of relationship (pics together, correspondence, etc). She'll also need your address in your country (for the e-travel departure registration).
Good to know, thanks for the info. In PH, it takes 3 to 6 months processing at the Bureau of Immigration. (I think it gets lumped together with other 13A or resident visa applications.)
JT my go to girl whenever I am travelling into the PI. Thanks as always and I must say you're looking very glamourous po . I will be using your onward ticket link as always. Thanks po
Hi Jennifer, I have a question, on the onward ticket, I got on the site and it says it’s only good for 48 hours so do I buy it the day I need it? The day of my departure? Thanks 😊
The website will issue the ticket within 2 minutes of purchase but to be safe I’d say puchase it the day before you trip. The most important thing is its valid upon your check in.
Hi from another country in Asia where surprise surprise they also want to make e-gate exits for foreign tourists. Just a comment - its kind of useful to have an actual customs officer stamp in the passport. Then one has actual physical proof about dates of arrival and departure that the immigration /tax authorities cannot contest at a later date.
Taiwan has e-gates for exit of tourists (based on experience). As for entry (to PH) e-gates, after scanning the passport, the machine gives out a sticker which serves as your entry stamp to PH. For now, it's available only for PH passport holders.
How something back to basics? Like the process on getting off the plane, airport processing, and hotel-ride tips? The year 2023 is nearly over and surely there have been changes.
Jennifer I went to extend my Visa tody, I am from USA, did they change things for extension? Usually I get 6 month extension, theyt told me today I can only extend for 2 months at a time now. 6 Months is only 1 time per arrival? Can you explain please, or is BI in Butuan city, making there own rules?
Please tell me if I am still required to fill out the e travel on line and get a scan code to present at the gate? No seems to be talking about this anymore
Jennifer. I want to know, on the 30 day entry, do they count the first day. I have looked at my stamps and they seem to give me 31 days including date of entry. I will be arriving dec 08, so am I right in thinking I will have to leave Jan 07? Thnks Jen. Sandy
