Also a super cool dude, he moved to a small town near me a few years ago, ran into him at home depot lol, can't mistake him, just a very chill, humble, chatty guy. A legend in death metal.
@@SickeningOfficial the guy put too much times on extreme sports and always put his body on the line. Now his drumming suck because of that. He played with fire, now he burn himself. Sloppy, untight and soft playing...
Absofriggin'lutely Absofuckinglutely Mandafuckingtory extremely fucking awesome AMERICAN Death Metal band and music!!!!!! I remember when their debut album was featured in METAL MANIACS MAGAZINE and then i went out to buy the cassette version and i personally was blown away in a good way. They are hands down really! Dam good
an act of god que música e álbum fodasticos! curto mais o immolation do início, dawn of possession, here in after etc mas não dá pra negar o quanto esses caras continuam lançando conteúdo de primeira e as performances ao vivo perfeitas!
As much as I am Hearing the appalling kicks, this is why you use real kick drums for this specific kind of music, because his feel in the hands is very nice, he gives great energy to the music. Raymond Herrara and Gene Hoglan are wonderful but they are very very clean and it doesn’t work well for this mid tempo atmospheric music. This reminds me of Behemoth and their music doesn’t translate well since they have slowed down. Use less click and allow the percussion to fill the space than simply keeping time. Between songs he’s laser sharp so he might just be choosing to flam as well. I don’t play like this, I am a long blast endurance guy so I would ask people to be kind.
@@i_want_my_shuggah I am really sad to hear about his injury, that’s a tragedy for a death metal drummer. That said, my point stands. It’s a band, playing music, not a crippled busker playing for donations. I am sad for the guy but my comment applies to all music like this.
Yea, I know. It's too bad. I love this band so much, but those sloppy kicks are just awful. I would've loved to have seen them live this past year, but chose not to because this shit would ruin the whole experience. Really hope they get a new drummer.
Hey not everyone can have good taste 😁 What’s mid to you is most interesting and unique to me. Most death metal sounds the same as other death metal, but Immolation is in a league far and away of their own. Super clever and memorable riffs, atmosphere and songwriting that puts most indistinguishable, cookie cutter shit to shame.
