"I turned 21 in prison locked up at night" no matter how many times I hear this, it sends a shiver down my spine and the hairs on my arm stand up. It's such a simple line, only 10 words. But there's so much pain and hurt behind it, so much loneliness and misery. So much regret and anguish. To spend the night when you're supposed to gain all your freedoms in a place with no freedom, the remorse of losing that freedom tears your soul to shreds. Thinking: "what if i was free? what if i didn't make that choice that landed me here, where would I be? what would I be doing? who would I be with?" but no, instead you spend that night trapped in a cell screaming at the walls begging for another chance. To turn 21 in prison locked up at night, what a sad day that is. Why was I born in the first place if I was to end up in a cage?
This man speaks so much truth in every one of his songs and I can’t get over it it’s so true people are confused with life and I can understand because every year life gets harder for everyone all over the world I’m only 20 but I was the last generation that grew up with no technology and how things have changed is crazy I remember being young no phones going out with friends knowing where everyone would be with no internet or phones they were the great days now kids are stuck home playing computer and are frankly not sociable the the sociable kids are part of gang or crime I can’t imagine what things will be like when everyone alive now in the present passes away it’s just a spiral getting worse and worse I’m only young but have been bought up to be thought these things and I believe it and immortal technique explained it all I think he named himself immortal technique because he raps about the truth and is immortal in a way that he will not allow a record contract or government to stop him from rapping what he speaks if you don’t believe me listen to freedom of speech and listen carefully I know I’m going on and most people probably won’t care but if anyone does please get in contact with me I would appreciate it
Yes mate the programming that the powers that be can initiate through modern technology is truly scary. Immortal technique pointed out so much truth over a decade ago now. Since then there has been designed wars in Libya and Syria, just the same as Iraq and Libya.
run runn save your lives lil wayne, jay z, rick ross, snoop dogg, dr dre ect. Tech exposed your real image that you were wannabe gangstas and were actually snitches dont let him chase you down hide before meeting a real gangsta Immortal Technique
Also, don't forget that tupac didn't have a very long time to talk about secret societies like Immortal had so you never know what he might came up with later on. He was considered a major threat, I hope he did fake his death. I'm not debating or arguing with anyone lol just stating my views
Does anybody know when he is dropping a new record? If I`m not mistaken is The Third World from 08, and it was not a studio album (even though the songs were new).
Yo I bet htis is nothing 2 him I bet he gots a lot more on his hands Deep in the mind of Tech There is a message of the future He sees it He accepts it and he still loves life he knows that there is hope left in the world he basically laughs in the face of politics at celebrity's at scientists and non religious nations nations that have been infected with grief where even the happy still hope Tech Speaks 4 everyonehe mainly speaks 2 usbut they feel his vibeevery where
Yea I turned 21 in prison locked up at night Now I walk around free seems like another life Another roll with some other dice Another ho or a loving wife People come and go some really you never know Intellectual midgets that really never grow Fake love that holds on like "can I hold you though?" And old friends will look at you like "yo, yea I told you so" A toast to the broken hearted Who never finished what they fucking started People who go out and try to be a rebel at night Try to make up for the fact that they settled in life It's like a fight between the devil and Christ over the limelight Spiritual celebrity poker But the whole deck is full of jokers And every year that you get older The stakes get higher Gambling with a bunch of fakes and liars Real talk 'cause the real New York Is the pain and the suffering of lost love Staring off into the distance in the midst of the club Depression and emptiness that lead to suicide And the struggle inside of yourself that keeps you alive Survived and medicated stalked by sobriety The life that you live now tortured by memories violently I pray inside of me that one day you could be forgiven For murdering the beautiful world we used to live in Crimes of the heart Crimes of the heart Love... doesn't need a complicated metaphor And sometimes nothing needs to be said at all Sometimes a person you're with is not your one and only And you just fuck with them because you afraid to be lonely And when you come back its too late So you overcompensate Like victims of rape Full of self hate Lost in the affection to strangers around you Instead of the only person that ever gave a fuck about you Thought you were happy so you didn't come check me But then when he cheated or treated you incorrectly You conveniently realized you could never forget me And tried to crawl back in my life unexpectedly These are my indictments Of those who claim to be righteous And leave a trail of broken hearts on their way to enlightenment But I cant give into hatred or pass judgment Even towards every illusion I've been in love with 'cause the heart that betrays itself willingly Is like a nation that trades freedom for stability Its so seductive to be cold and corrupted And isolated and try to be an independent republic But liberty to be loved on the surface is worthless The sacrifice of revolution with no purpose Take it from a criminal searching for his redemption Cursing at God desperately trying to get his attention Crimes of the heart Crimes of the heart Looking for the shining light Who's it gonna be? Who'll walk the line with me tonight? Round we go (won't cross?) climbing through the endless night Who's it gonna be? Who'll walk the line with me this time? Climbing through the endless night (endless night, endless night)
Just wanna say a big thanks for Tech for allowing this track in my film Cedar Boys. And also for "Cause of Death'. It was special for me as this track is the closing end credits. PEACE
"Cause the heart that betrays itself willingly Is like a nation that trades freedom for stability It's so seductive to be cold and corrupted And isolated and try to be an independent republic" As a Scottish person, this part really spoke to me..
Ehhh, if you listen to Payback tech tells the president to kill himself, meaning Tech knows every president is just a puppet and in Rich Mans World he makes it obvious this entire system is the beast. Tech is way above that bullshit. But I get ya
i actually fear for this man. if he even so much as goes commercial he might get assasinated due to the fact that he gets you thinkin. the "government" doesn't want that. imma pray for him. :{
"Thought you were happy so you didn't come check me/Then when he cheated or treated you incorrectly/You conveniently realized that you could never forget me/And tried to crawl back in my life, unexpectedly" Word for word, what happened to me with this one girl... or one hoe, actually. Crazy how Tech has insight like that
I looked around at rappers, to see who I liked best but now I honestly can't find any better then Immortal Technique. This man is the only reason I listen to Rap at all. I wish I could see him live sometime.
Best part about his live shows is when he breaks off and just spits knowledge for like 45 minutes I've seen him live like 5 times and it always happens, he always spits some shit that's relevant to the area he's in, its fucking amazing.
Yo, his music inspires, heals, and opens my eyes all the time....No matter what situation, I listen to his words and find comfort in it. I'm glad there's still real artists makin real music. Words that speak truth and make me freeze. Helped me move on with life after a harsh experience. Thanks Tech! (I live in NY so I'm crossing my fingers I get to see him some time be4 I leave this world. :) )
@713FALLENANGEL he'd make america hate itself, and anyways, even he said it "you cant change the system from the inside, because eventually it will end up changing you"
all these people hating saying technique is trying to be the next tupac... let me settle this right here: immortal technique is not dickriding tupac, he is doing what tupac failed to do. consider tupac was connected in his early days (deathrow records)- immortal technique has been independent since day one. right there, IT exceeds tupac. tupac began setting an example of revolutionary thought for sure, but IT is takin it to the next level. seriously reasearch what he is doing with his $!
"Love...doesnt need a complicated metaphor And sometimes nothing needs to be said at all Sometimes a person you with is not your one and only And you just fuck with them because you afraid to be lonely"
Love, doesn't need a complicated metaphor and sometimes nothin needs to be said at all sometimes the person you with is not ya one n only and u just fuck with them cuz u afraid to be lonely... ONE OF THE BEST LINES EVER
When I listen to Immortal Technique I hear a lot of influence from Tragedy Khadafi like Tragedy Khadafi coulda easily been on this joint and woulda been able to hold up and sound right at home I can’t believe they haven’t made even one song together
I'm just another white dork who likes Metal, Classic Rock, Goth, Industrial etc and I fucking LOVE Immortal Technique. Great beats, lyrics, message etc.
I’m knocking this song harder than a Jehovah’s Witness with my two fifteen inch subwoofers and 1000 one thousand watts vintage amplifier beating this song up and down the block. The #Serotonin and #Dopamine Levels in my brain are increasing rapidly by listening to this song in a stereo system. Maybe I will never be cured of my mental illness called The BassHead Syndrome. I’ll be 90 years old knocking a stereo harder than a Jehovah’s Witness .
i have it in my iTunes library, its not enough,i want the cd, i want to buy it. its priceless to me, the feeling to keep his albums in my hands. ty anyway
Wow I Usually Memorize The Lyrics Of Any Rap Song, I Memorize Them Like Nothing, But It Looks Like Its Going To Take Some Time To Memorize Immortal Technique's Lyrics They are Just So Crazy And Fast.
respect your opinion but totally dis agree what pac done no one till this day has. He gave people hope, what Immortal says now you could`nt say than. Look at pac he was known to millions around the world, movie deals he never sold out kept it real. He woke a nation blacks, white, hispanics and asians gave them hope. But Immortal had not on that much of a scale. BUT lets agree to disagree they both are spitting(Rapping for the voiceless/the people and always will be true artist with a cause !
Second track is called Rebel Arms. Fucking crazy, reminds me of KGB by Binary Star. You should check it out if you haven't already heard it. The first song is also great. Can definitely relate to 1:56 to 2:12. Leave it to Technique to speak the truth!
Actually. I think eminem wasn't originally in that, I think it was a fan remix. I may be incorrect, but the LP does not include the blurb at the end. Also, eminem's "part" in the song is from a "Patiently waiting" off of a 50 Cent album.
sometimes his lyrics just hit me so hard I gotta pause the track for a second. technique doesn't pull any punches..just spits the raw, uncomfortable truth
Thought I was going backI won this time .but I feel that it's just a break that I m not caring fo a good life. rthink I find it hard to see what's better.true song thou
If you think about it, they both rap about their perspective.. Ghetto life was something that Pac lived, and Immortal, with his South American origin, feels a lot closer to the revolutionary themes and targets corporate America.. I wouldn't say he is above Pac intelectually, it's just that Pac had that soldier mentality and that larger-than-life attitude, he didn't choose his words, he just stood up and yelled everything he wanted at the Goliath standing in front of him, not giving a fuck
