Pretty sure IMO wouldn't be the biggest and best car wash company in the world, if mitters were bad

Ch1ck3N HD IMO has just started using mitters fairly recently. Previously, their sites exclusively used top brushes. Mitters also appear to be most popular at UK sites to help compete against disgusting hand washes which seem to be popular there.

Unfortunately we are not in a position to comment on what condition your wing mirror cover was in prior to your vehicle entering the car wash and whether it was either loose or weakened to some extent. However, we would like to offer you an ex-gratia payment of £40.00 towards the cost of a replacement or repair to your wing mirror cover as a gesture of our goodwill in full and final settlement of your claim. This offer is made without any admission of liability. We would be grateful if you could notify this office, in writing, of your acceptance to this offer. Once this has been received we can arrange for payment. Please inform us of your Bank name, Account number, Sort Code and Account name, where we will arrange for a BACS payment to be made. We hope that you will accept this goodwill offer from us, but, should you wish to not accept, please would you supply us with two quotations in the name of Anduff Car Wash Limited for the cost of the repairs for consideration. Once these are received, we will be in a position to look at your claim further. Unfortunately, quotations not in the name of Anduff Car Wash will not be accepted.
