Mmmm not sure about this. Lando won because of a lucky pit strategy, in imola red bull were struggling with set up all weekend but granted max did say he was struggling on the hards towards the end of the race. This weekend is an anomaly because there’s no overtaking but I’d be more inclined to wait until whatever race is after Monaco before I’d be saying that Miami and imola were not a fluke

It’s simple, and I don’t see why people overlook it. The McLaren is a track specific car, they always say it. They are good at getting heat into the tires on cold tracks and low deg tracks, so if a track is cold or low deg, the McLaren will be good, the red bull is the opposite, it’s great with tire deg but that is bad on cold and low deg tracks because they cannot get the heat into the tires. When we come to tracks after Monaco, with the exception of Singapore, red bull will be light on tire deg but the high deg track or high heat track temp will put heat in the tires, on the flip side it will destroy or overheat the McLaren tires. In imola, people were saying it was hotter than expected on the race day start, this is why max was able to pull a lead and noris destroyed his tires, at the end, the track cooled down and noris was on fire while max was struggling to put heat in the tires. It happened in real time I’m not sure why people over look this, it’s one of the biggest factors of f1, tire deg on certain tracks. If they bring the softest compound to a track, McLaren will probably do well, because it will be a low deg track, unless the track temp is hot, then they will overheat them

It was a fluke and imola was nowhere near as close as people think it was. You need a huge delta to overtake at Imola which Norris never even got close to. And even if he did Max would easily defend on a track that's hard to overtake.

Lando won cos of the free pitstop he got thanks to the SC in Miami, otherwise he would’ve been 4th at best. So the win was a indeed fluke cos McLarens Quali was BAD, REALLY BAD. They couldn’t drive a full Quali lap on the softs there without cooking them… The race pace McLaren had was good, their Quali was bad, the result was due to a lucky SC which gave Lando a free pitstop, at least 14sec gifted….which he otherwise would’ve had to regain on track AFTER his pitstop.

And Red Bull doesn't have Newey to give direction for their upgrades anymore.

It wouldn’t have taken 5 laps for Lando…

Incorrect. RedBull is still the best. The tracks we've been at since Miami are not Real racing tracks. Miami not a real track, Imola great track but quirky, Monaco literally a street circuit. I would judge the pecking order at the Spanish GP.

Enjoy watching Lando & McLaren cars racing a lot but the british medias open bias way of reporting makes me want to see them fail just to harsh their mellow.
