Hey it’s been a month how do you like these skates? I ended up with the Moxi Lolly’s. I’m thinking about investing in another skate for indoor skating. I’m thinking about the rose gold.
Even with thicker skate socks? Take that into consideration also if you haven’t already. You’ll want that extra cushion cause they’re a bit hard on the inside at first.
How are the skates now? I heard that the back of the show detaches from the wheels have you had that problem? Great video btw! And can you do a video of you skating?
Hey there! Wanted to ask you how theyve been feeling now that it's been a little bit? Im very interested in the black ones and i heard theyre a bit different than the other ones when it comes to sizing!
Just wanna let you know that skates should be comfortable with thin socks. You want a snug fit, toes very close or even touching the tip of the toe box. Your feet hurt because your muscles are not strong enough yet to support you comfortably while skating and your feet are also not used to the feeling. Thick tube socks are comfortable but they can compromise your skating for comfort.
I get what you're saying. Though my feet didn't hurt muscularly, as in having weak muscles (I played basketball for 10 years. My feet are pretty strong). It was more of feeling PRESSURE points on certain parts of the skate, probably due to my wide feet and it being a more narrow skate with not a whole lot of give in the material. Update: I’ve since been skating in them (with thicker socks for added cushion) and everything has been fine. The only thing...just wish they came with adjustable toe stops instead of bolt ons.
No, an 8 will probably be JUST right, but not necessarily in the best way. I say that because I just won’t know how much space you’ll have to wear thicker skate socks, which you’d definitely want to while you’re skating. I wear an 8.5 women’s (US) and the 9 was perfect for me with thick socks and all; but then again it was only a HALF size bigger than what I usually wear, so I’m not sure how the 9 would fit on you being a whole size bigger. But just to be on the safe side, try to the 9 anyway because they ARE cut a bit small (and hard initially on the inside, hence you wanting to wear thicker socks while skating), and again, at least you’ll have that bit of extra space TO wear those thick socks in order to avoid possible blisters if you’re skating for a long time/intensely. The 8 might be TOO much of a just right fit to do that, not allowing any extra room for a thick sock layer. Hope this helped!
