I put so much effort into my ship names. I even have a Concord, cleverly pulled, as it was the previous name of Blackbeard's ship, before he renamed it. Chimaera as spelled as one of ships thrawn commanded in star wars Asp ex... Magellan My black combat fleet have names like black sunshine, and black magic... My anti zeno... Orkan I can't help but feel that she's missing a lot of opportunity with names.
Seeing this review as I'm grinding for my Corvette is....a thing. Luckily I'm pretty sure I have the Imperial rank from grinding half a billion credits out in Quince. Whew
so ive just look4ed at the rebuy, holy shit thats alot, and holy fuck thats cheap, its alot, because thats like 22 million we are talking about, but for an AX ship that can bully hydras and take them down relitivly easly? thats easly almost three rebuys for one kill, there would be almost little cance you would die, and it sounds like if you have enough for one rebuy at least, then you can take it.
The way a Cutter drifts on turns makes it extremely difficult for even the high end AI's to track for targeting. Much the same for simple side thrusting. Most other ships, you see the thruster(s) kick in and your gimbal and turret mount weapons will already be aiming to the expected direction of travel. With a Cutter, it can be a second or more after hitting the thrusters before the ship starts moving the intended direction. That's a second or more of wasted firepower being sent through space the Cutter is not in.
As a absolute beginner to AX-combat i soak up every new video from you, but i would like to ask, why you go with lightweight alloy instead of military grade composite? Is it a mass vs. speed thingy ?
well on most large ships it is because of speed yes but here it was more just what it would do to the rebuy - especially when the cutter is tanky enough without it :P fortunately i didnt need any rebuys but you never know!
@@Citizen_Kate Thx for your reply, so as a AX-beginner (with enough credits to buy several a-graded cutters) i better go with military grade composits?
I’ve watched 100s of anti xeno videos and tutorials, never as cool as this one..I run shieldless for the most , but never against a goid. Watching this after your tutorial is a must for anyone interested in goid hunting. Your FA off skills in a big lump of a cutter was made to look easy...well done on a great video guys.
Somewhere, in whatever foul place the xenos crawl from, the Alien whispers your name in hushed tones. They shake when you approach. Their young shiver at the thought of you. So keep up the good work, because their fear is well founded. Stay true to humanity, you're an example to us all. And suffer not the Alien to live.

How Is this flying possible? Ship Is jumping as goat without FA. :/
It's amazing how our lady CMDR showed us an another impressive feat, a shieldless Cutter! You make The Whale dancing like a ballerina! Since I bought the Cutter, I fell in love with it. I named her, "Blaidd Drwg" :) Because she is my lost love :( Just like the Doctor lost his Rose :( I lost my "Rose" ... Forever ... o7 and deepest respect and simpathy
The Cutter was the only ship with I had managed to kill a Hydra, but the fit I had used was a shield tank. Will try your fit for sure! I can see a lot of practice from my part before i get used to it, but it looks a lot more fun than the shield tank!
Funny enough, right after watching this video i happened to find myself shieldless on my shield tank cutter midfight, tried cold orbiting and it was amazing!
I built up a shieldless Cutter because I couldn't be bothered with engineering all those shield boosters. Bask with so much heatsinks, so little synthesis!
i have never fought a thargoid, i dont really want to it feels a bit mean, their ships are kinda beautiful, my cutter i use for trading, im in the process of engineering it though but i never be able to make it dance like you can, brilliant flying
Yes yes yes, let the Cutter vibes flow! Great epic video by the way! After that video I am thinking about buying a 3rd Cutter for Anti-Xeno operations.
hi, i'm watching your thargoid videos. I am Belgian and speak not too well English. however, I hang on the basiik. I have a cutter my targeting points are not centered like you. on what point do you put your gaus cannon ? do you have a technique to share with me. good flight cmd.
Hi Bart :) as with all my reviews, the build is linked in the description - though I would definately recommend using Hellhammers shielded build as it wil lbe far more forgiving ;)
@@Citizen_Kate hmm, Hellhammer's cutter looks like your daily cutter build but with AX weapons. I have one like this already save the gauss cannons. Also if those shields are down - they are down. I'm more into your build but with a little bit of tweaking. First - military grade alloys. I doubt the speed you gain is sufficient to outrun interceptors. Second - grade 6 bi-weave shield fast regen + thermal resistance. How does it sound?
@@chq89 What way's specifically do you fly it? Currently following the AXI Large cutter guide for kitting out my cutter to bring the fight to the thargoids! The build link you posted is down, can I have another one please?
I feel like that there's some issues here with the methodology. People like to use fixed weapons because of their extra DPS, but if you look at the weapon HUD, the DPS is limited to half or less of what fixed can do anyways because of her delaying between shots, despite the fact that the weapons can be fired again, you can see that she delays firing even though they are clearly ready to fire again. This means that with all the time she wastes by delaying, turreted weapons would do just about as much damage by being locked and firing as soon as they're ready, without the need to worry about ensuring the ship is in position for the target to be in the crosshairs. Not to mention more hardpoints could be used due to the reduction in heat, which means that turreted could potentially do more damage for less effort in the same amount of time, while still keeping the heat signature low. This may not be the case in every instance, but overall it seems like she would get more, if not, nearly as much DPS out of turreted with less effort in needing to maneuver.
Hmmm...with all this Internals, i wonder if this would make a viable support-ship, with 2x 3C-Beams w/ long range/regenaration-sequence and repair-limpets.(After a little play-around, the clipper doen't seem that valid) Any opinions are appreciated? we defintly need more built-diversity for people who prefer the supporter-role!
