Implementing the African Fertilizer & Soil Health Action Plan & Soil Initiative for Africa 

Following the success of the African Fertilizer and Soil Health Summit 2024, the Coalition of Implementors for Fertilizers and Soil Health (APNI, FARA, IFDC, IITA), AGRA, and the Joint Development Statement Partners hosted a pivotal workshop to discuss the next practical steps for implementing the AFSH Action Plan and Soil Initiative for Africa (SIA).
This informative workshop provided a vital platform for stakeholders to collaborate on the future of soil health and fertilizer use across Africa, driving sustainable agricultural practices and securing food security for the continent.
The CGIAR Excellence in Agronomy Initiative (EiA) played a key role, with its commitment to advancing fertilizer and soil health initiatives perfectly aligned with the broader goal of transforming agriculture across Africa and the global south. As a global initiative focused on delivering agronomic gains for millions of smallholder farming households, EiA continues to champion data-driven, scalable, and sustainable agricultural practices.
