Great job! I appreciate your clarity and tempo. When you perform we have to be attentive to the details. I really needed this tutorial. TYSVM!

Hi Sanjay, I can't see the other comment you made for some reason, so I will reply on this one. The best way to create the syncopation is to add ties to the notes in between, instead of writing them as rests. Here is a picture. Is this what you meant? I hope it helps! ibb.co/pXxqdPr

Hi Amy, Thanks for your reply. I don't know what happened here... but I can't see the question that I posted. Did you check the link to Mediafire, where I sent you a snapshot of the notations?- that I want to enter into Sibelius. Here is the new link: ibb.co/THssnhn My problem is: Sibelius automatically enters rests after entering the notes, so I can't input the exact rest that I want to. And when I am entering eight notes or 16th notes, sometimes Sibelius automatically beams the notes (which I do not expect)- so, I don't arrive at the exact notations. Maybe there is a better way. By looking at the snapshot you'll understand what I mean.

You can get Photoscore Lite as part of your purchase of Sibelius. To get them, you will need to pay for the subscription on the Avid website here (they do have a free trial, but you will not be able to save anything.): shop.avid.com/ccrz__ProductDetails?viewState=DetailView&cartID=&sku=SBDYNA1001

Hi! New to music. I was just wandering if you import a sheet music can you see what keys to play on piano. If like there is a plug in for an on screen piano for Sibelius?
@amyestep4711
@amyestep4711 4 года назад
Yes! Under the View tab there are choices for what Panels to show. You can choose to show the Keyboard, so when you click play to hear what has been written it will show you what keys are being used.

Mine fails at the pages input bit - says the "dictionary doesn't contain the words pages"

@amyestep4711 3 года назад
Hi Rosemary, I'm sorry you're having that issue! Apparently it's a known one. Here is a link on how to fix it (Basically opening it and saving as a new file with a different name should do it). Hope this helps! avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Error_Message/Photoscore-Error-opening-PDF-File-The-dictionary-does-not-contain-required-key-Pages

I tried it and PhotoScore said they can only scan in 20 pages.
@amyestep4711
@amyestep4711 3 года назад
Yes, if your score has more than 20 pages you will need to split it into two. What I have done is uploaded those first 20 to Sibelius and then add on a measure to the end of the song and save it, then go back and open the PDF file again in PhotoScore, choose the remaining pages to be opened when it prompts you (so type in 21-*ending number*), and then do the same process of clean-up and send to Sibelius. THEN, copy all the music on the second part of the song and paste it into the first file you created. Since it's the same number of instruments and such, it shouldn't be a big issue. Hope that helps!
