Hello everyone in this video i'll be showing you how to input notes into Sibelius using a USB MIDI keyboard.

Thanks , it’s really helpful, just one question, you play on an extern Keyboard, right? Is every keyboard compatible, or is it up to me? Actually my grand e-piano without UBS is obviously not compatible.thanks for a short feedback , please

This is a great tutorial but in the media input device it did not pick up my Arturia key labs 88 keyboard it just said generic midi keyboard and I never got any sound out of it

Thank you for your video. I have exactly your midi keyboard AKAI. The problem seems to be that when playing, there is a two-second delay from pressing the note and the one being written. How can I rectify this? Thanks.

Hi, Question ?, i connect UMX250 Behringer to Sibelius for recording/notation, but when i press the UMX250 keys , unfortunately the voice comes delay to the speaker (beat/ tempo), please guide me how to fix this, thanks.

Hi. Very very good video. And well explained. Thanks. ..... I have just a question. I have a lot of files made on Sibelius 5 or Sibelius 5.1. but now I have a Sibelius ultimate amazing version. And I cant oupen them. Tell me please if there's a way maybe to open Sibelius 5 files on Sibelius ultimate. Thank you.

If my memory serves me correctly there is a setting that allows you to open older versions. It should prompt you when you try to open a project, you just need to click on yes/accept

how are you getting triplets and quads with MIDI I cannot find anywhere to help change this. Every note I do, fast or slow. Remains constant. No Triplets. No doubles. No quads. This is seriously crippling. PLease help me. Someone has to have an answer!!!

Not really, except you know how to replace and sample and program the files from there.

Can someone please help me? I used the record feature to transcribe music from my MIDI keyboard. But because of input delay, everything is shifted to the right a sixteenth rest. Is there any way to move everything back a sixteenth rest? If I delete the sixteenth rest, it just hides it, rather than shifting everything over a sixteenth. I'd really appreciate any help! Thank you!

I find the Akai creates pauses all the time and doesn’t notate properly and it only creates the right rhythm notation occasionally if I press record .if I try to play it in it’s only crotchets Totally useless keyboard
