I do alternate day intermittent fasting. I normally break my fast with a healthy smoothie. Stay away from carbs and processed food, drink plenty of water and no food after 8pm for me. I've lost 100lbs
knight Raider fruit is essential as are veggies. But it’s best to have to body to the processing. Eat the entire thing whole. A smoothie is rapidly digested which results in an spike in glucose and insulin. It’s likely to trigger cravings and won’t be very satiating. Although the commenter might be using an easily digestible food to ease out of the fast, which I can understand. I was objecting to the contradiction

I have tried it many times. Skipping breakfast and eating breakfast. When I eat breakfast I feel lethargic and sleepy. No matter whats doctors may say. I feel much better without breakfast and more energetic. I think our forefathers also did not eat breakfast as they had to catch their meal first. Its the cereal companies who have promoted breakfast I think.
100%. I doesn't matter what any book doctor or even Aris Latham says...the only thing that matters is YOU and the feedback your body gives YOU. NO ONE for the majority of human existence (before refrigeration) could just wake up & eat..without first burning calories to: fetch water, get firewood, collect whatever food products and prepare them first)
The best breakfast is my opinion is spring water. I feel amazing when I drink spring water on an empty stomach in the morning. I feel light, clean and balanced after a morning of adequate hydration.
@Akoben Renaissance yes it does. I go to the toilet after i drink it and later in the day agan. It gets the bowel moving. Any leafy greens are good to get the waste out but i heard celery juice in the mornings on epty stomach is the best thing. Anothony williams talks ot about it
Always break your fast with fruit. To provide the body with the proper nutrients an vitamins. Water is essential. Been intermittent fasting for 4 years an my livelihood has improved in a major way

I do agree. I started intermittent fasting a week ago and firstly I will have a smoothie/juice at 12pm. In the first days I noticed that I almost entirely got rid of the cough that I've been struggling with for over ten years now and doctors were helpless. Don't abuse your stomach with heavy and too much food, start gently, drink a lot of water and then fill it all up with all other nutrients we need.

I rarely feel hungry because of my no meat diet. I am a pescatarian though/ I only eat seafood. It's been times where my co-workers would ask me am I not hungry? I would just look at them and smile. Its really refreshing to reap the benefits of doing things different than what everyone else seems to experience as a way of life. I am not smarter than anyone...I just make better decisions regarding my personal preferences.

super interesting why when I have eaten big breakfasts in the past I feel soooo tired and eat all bloody day! Makes so much sense that I will keep doing what I am doing (not eating solid food till 12) stick to the fruit or smoothie and or cold pressed juice! Thank you Dr Aris!
I always start my day with at least 16oz of water for the first hour after waking up, then i usually consume fruits or a beet smoothie. I feel awesome always
What about the brain? It needs food too like B vitamins. Its not just about how the stomach feels. Maybe try blending up certain juices together and mix with water and drink.
Agreed. I don't like eating heavy breakfast. I drink herbal teas or eat a small portion of fruits in the morning then have a big lunch. Then my next meal is the next day lunch time
Makes sense. When I have woke up and not been trying to follow a specific diet, it feels like I am drawn to just hydrate and eat light, like fruits and vegetables. I'm usually not hungry until lunchtime about 4 hours after I wake up.

I love the wisdom but Lord knows how old this man is but he looks damn good for his age clear Beautiful skin, white hair, and head full of knowledge. U can he took and is still taking care of himself mentally and physically

Got you Dr. My body empty the waste basket every day like clock work. I'll admit I don't eat fruit's and veggies for breakfast, in fact I don't eat breakfast. But I do eat a regular lunch, and a small dinner...I might have to shuffle that around a little after listening to you, I like what you are saying. I don't drink fruity drinks and soda's, I drink a lot of water, my urine is clean, and my body stay hydrated. OH, I don't eat fried food either.
I like to fast every morning and do yoga and breathing to stimulate my digestive system before food. Than wait 15-30 min after and have a small meal of usually kombucha tea or green tea and a banana. Let this digest and heal my gut. Then later on will eat a bigger meal with meat or eggs and everything else digests very well. I have tried not doing this as well there is a huge difference on my digestion.
I am very blessed that I was provided this resource it has truly transformed my thinking and practices around fasting and being even more aware of what my temple needs when it needs it. Ase' Ase'!
One of the things I found to be best helpful is to always clean your mouth clean your throat and drink a glass of water what helps you go to the bathroom better when you pass your food your stomach takes in water to do so so when you wake up you should drink a glass of water after cleaning your mouth
I did this and I lost 25 pounds just doing fruit and veggies for breakfast. Watermelon and pineapple nuts creative salads. I did pause on drinking water and made fresh juices instead 9 months now. ❤
YOU GUYS, if you haven’t already tried ripe sweet watermelon 🍉 to break your fast, you should! It’s so satisfying, hydrating and cleans out the system fast. Like really fast don’t be alarmed 😅.
I usually eat fruit in the morning like a banana then vitamins with water. And 1 cup of coffee. But I also sometimes I eat boiled eggs & Greek yogurt with fruit & granola for lunch..which is why my metabolism is so fast. Coffee is a natural antioxidant & makes me go #2 everytime. It's so hard to go vegan...I try to substitute cow milk with almond & coconut milk. I rarely eat cereal anymore, nor breads & fried foods, nor fast foods. I normally cook at home. I try to shop smart looking out for ingredients making sure no chemicals or GMOs are in them. Mostly organic or at least the most natural as possible. I love apple cidar vinegar & olive oil on all my foods. Even hot sauce. Lol I am addicted to Asian noodles though, but I get the most natural kind they have & I love it with roasted seaweed. That is my food addiction. I know wheat gluten is very bad for you & it's mostly in cereals, pastas & breads. I haven't been eating raw veggies but I need to start it again. I love ceasar salad & I usually get real parmesan cheese & organic dressings. But apple cidar vinegar & olive oil is healthier as a substitute for salad dressings. I am someday gonna grow my own garden & have a greenhouse. I am very aware that cancer cells cannot survive inside of an alkaline body. Basically eating & drinking probiotic, vegan, whole & organic stuff is the way to go to stay healthiest. No carbs, no sugars, no salts, no junk. You are what you eat & our body is our holy temple.
I only have herbal tea or a smoothie for breakfast and I only eat 1 meal a day preferably in the afternoon then I’m good to go. I Hardly ever cook any food. If I want to snack on something it’s usually dates. I’ll eat fruit here and there but I’m not to big on eating it as a snack. The next day. I may not even consume any meals only herbal tea and a smoothie is just fine. Of course I drink 4 bottles of water a day with a lemon to alkaline the water and that’s it. My body enjoys this way and I only weigh 126lbs I have 3 kids and I’m 38yrs old. I plan to move to Africa next year because the land is much richer and I’ll enjoy watching my plants grow on the rich soil and not being at risk for being poisoned through food.
