I was graped at 14 and a boy who I was friends with at the time contacted me 30 years later to apologize for not being able to show up for me at the time and asked if I would and could forgive him. It touched me so much for him to do that.

I think you want everyone to understand you. But you don't understand or care to understand the world. Even with the shannon sharp interview, you could only understand where you were coming from, but you didn't care to get his perspective. I'm not sure what happened, but Im am sorry it happened. Black people were taught to push through and roll with the punches. Women were taught that this was normal. We have to give people grace in their response in any situation!
