Namaskar. In all my videos, we have discussed that how our Indian traditions are very much relevant for our healthy life. And we should take the responsibility that this knowledge should be passed generation by generation so that our Indian traditions will be preserved in this world. There is a tradition of, shaving the head or tonsuring the tonsuring or we can say, like, whenever there is an arrival or departure of souls in form of birth or deaths from our life, we always try to refrain ourselves, from, combing our hair or we don't even apply oil to our hair. But what is the reason for that?
So let's go that our Indian traditions are always with a logical reasoning and also for the betterment of this human body. Whether we are talking about ganendrias or carmendrias, everywhere we have hairs in our body. Human body is a masterpiece of engineering. Nothing almighty and mother nature has not given anything without reason to our body. And at the same time, universe, mother nature always wants this human body should be in a capacity and capability to communicate with the universe.
So these hairs behave like an antenna to attract the cosmic energy. Let's see, and let's go 1 by 1. As we know, we have 5 Ganondrias. So I will take one one example. In our ear, many people will have hairs in their outer ear.
This hairs help to amplify the sound which is being received by this ear for that particular human being. That's why our ancestors, our forefathers will always tell that do not trim these hairs because you the human being will be able to receive the sound from a long distance also and these hairs will try to amplify the sound being received by the inner ear. In the inner ear, when this sound suppose I'm hearing one sound, hello. Now this sound is being received as a wave inside my inner ear. In the inner ear, there are this hair like structure which helps to transfer this wave into some pulses of electrical signals or we can say some, bursts of, electrical signals and then the auditory nerve inside the ear which carries that information to the brain.
Yes. So when we are unconscious, we do not hear anything. Suppose I'm in a one meeting room, but my mind is somewhere else. Maybe those waves have gone inside my ear, but because my mind is somewhere else. So those words have not been received by the brain.
So here comes the picture of man. That is the mind. So if we have a conscious mind, then these hairs in the inner ear, they help to transfer the waves from the sound wave to electrical signals and then these signals are being received by the brain. Is that why we should never ever compel a child to do anything? Yes.
Because if a child is not willing to do anything, please do not compel the child because the mind is somewhere else and we are compelling the child to do something. So that electrical signal, which needs to convert the wave to the electrical signals and then it will go through the auditory nerve to the brain, that doesn't work. That's why it is a common practice for our ancestors or forefathers. They will always say that never ever compel a child to do any work because they knew that this will be of no use. Might be.
We will see his body is doing that work, but the brain will not function. So here we saw the hair tiny hair like structure in the inner ear are so important to convert these waves to the electrical signals. Similarly for our eyes. As we know in my last video, we have discussed that how our eyes always try to invert the image at the back side of our retina and through our through our nerve, the brain receives that image. But when I'm making my head left or right, the image which is in front of me that doesn't change.
Here the mind of the human being plays the most important role. So if our mind is not conscious, all these electrical signals, what is happening inside through the help of these hairs will not work. Similarly, our nose, our 3rd Gyanaindriya, that also have tiny hairs inside which helps to smell different kind of, senses or we can say different kind of smell. And when the our nose is closed, we do not find a test in our tongue also. That's why there is a say that if we have a cold then we always feel our fruit is very blunt in taste.
