This is the FIRST TIME I see Samsung doing a world roll-out of an update. I am in BRAZIL, South America, and I also got the update early this morning. This is fantastic!
Video stabilization is better especially when panning it's smoother instead of micro stutter. Also white balance and exposure adjustments is smoother instead of instantly. But changing lenses seems less smoother indeed
Many were probably Sales Reps of another phone brand. Anything to deflect from Samsung sales. I am being serious now as these kind of dirty tricks go on.
I got used to the natural color that the level 3 vivid slider strains my eyes after long use. I am just using the level 2 slider at the moment and see how it goes.
Got mine this morning here in TX through my Carrier. No Google Update, I'm still on July 2023. The Camera Zooming is a big difference, it was jumpy but it's more smooth now & Vivid is great. Night Time Photo's are Killa!
Nice video, it's great that you give perspective in your photo and video review. It's more informative when you show or give your opinion on what you see or what the color in real life is compared to the phone's image is. So many reviewers just show the photo image and critique that and viewers have no idea what it's being compared to. Great job.
did they fix the blurred background during video calls? if your in the UK when you try turn the setting on it says "this is a network feature" and doesnt let you enable it its like the UK gvmnt dont want you hiding your background its such bs
I just got an update from Verizon that looks like it's just a security patch. I'm in Virginia. Is it possible I needed a security patch before getting the update that your video is about?
Got the update yesterday. This morning trying to charge the phone and it's going slow as heck. Its been an hour now and have gone from 6% to 26% only. And tried 2 different chargers, a 25W and 45W and neither is charging correctly, Anyone else?
I've got a question please. Why did Samsung take the ability away to customize the always on display, I used to be able to adjust the brightness for the always on display and customize it with a picture, they took the whole feature away I don't understand why. I don't understand why Samsung would take that feature away, that's why I kept my s23 ultra. They could easily put it back with a software update but I'm sure they won't. hello everybody. I purchased the s24+ and what I noticed is that in video calls, for example Facebook Messenger, in QHD+ resolution, white stripes appear as if it were interference. something that doesn't happen on my s8. Anyone else having this problem?
The S23 series' colours were duller than any Samsung Amoled device before it, so that makes sense. Max is closer to s22, s21, s20 (maybe even more vibrant than those) while mid is s23 lvls
I'm so confused. Apparently I got this update because after I could do the vivid changes but all information I got were that this was only a safty and stabilisation update with no more infos at all
Just updated my s24u, still gets crazy hot, and won't 2.0 charge more than 5 or 10 minutes before switching to regular fast charge. The heating is a real problem that's going to destroy battery health quickly.
If I'm not mistaken that type of charging slowdown is normal especially when the battery's charge is closer to 100%. In terms of the temperature of your device, apparently phones get much hotter than I would expect to be considered normal.
@timewaveZer0 Yeah I'm aware the wattage slows with charge state. But this is not that, 2.0 flat out stops after just a few minutes. Charge time goes up to 1.5 hours using the Samsung 45 watt charger and cable. Other brands of cables and chargers do the same thing. Tried Amazon basics, lisen 240 watt, maglink 360 pro, all do the same thing.
I'm really not sure. What was the issue when I first got my Samsung Galaxy S24 5G ultra it It already had that feature in it. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones. I don't know
Side note, the vividness slider does absolutely nothing if you have Eye Comfort shield on which is a must for me. You have to turn it off to even get the advanced option but as soon as you turn it back on there goes the "vividness", but I wasn't unhappy with the display to begin with so will stick with Eye Comfort shield.
The 200 megapixel mode was absolutely terrible before the update and 12 megapixel wasn't right either. Pictures were coming out super blown out and blurry. I'm still not convinced 200 mode is right but at least normal 12 mode is okay
They have fixed the vivid option. Colours appear much more saturated. But the overall brightness of the screen and the white balance is still off. S23 ultra still pops in comparison. Whites look dazzling white on s23 ultra .. Instagram photos seem brighter. Facebook feed looks much brighter..
The update features are not same in Indian version, no vividness option ,no camera feature and still the update size is around 674 MB.. Below are the features which are going to update in Indian version • Overall stability of functions improved. • The security of your device has been improved. A software update can include, but is not limited to: - Device stability improvements, bug fixes. - New and/or enhanced features. - Further improvements to performance.

Since I got the S24U I find it's better to use a AAWIRELESS adapter, you get more control of your Androidauto settings, you can change the DPI, disable mulit touch safety time out and you can still use carstream to watch youtube on the cars display, since it's been blocked for android 14 over wired connection.
@@creampuff1241This is not an S24 only feature. Of course they will roll it out on all future phones. Why would they make the Vividness slider an S24 exclusive feature?
@@Gurenn83 this is when Samsung decided to change the display was on the 24 series. If Samsung is gonna make the decision to get more natural colors I get that. Samsung should've had this option to begin with.
9.9x zoom still better than x10 and faces of people still over sharpen in night mode, hdr still not the best very often i can see blown out sky, or that strange turquoise sky colour . I dont know what that "update" supposed to fix, cos nothing really changed.
How could you have even tested all of that if it was just released? The environment wouldn't have even been able to meet the conditions for those tests in the time you took to comment 😂😂
@@jordanjackson8873 update was realised this morning in UK. I v been playing a lot with the camera today . Its really not complicated to compare 9.9x to10x zoom shots, or to take few landscape shots to check hdr, or few shots in the evening to check night mode. Dont be upset and sore just because your new phone camera is not that good as you want it to be 😂😂🤣

After the update and compared to my S21 ultra , I discovered that s21 ultra is still more vivid, brighter and much more sharper than the S24 ultra. I was a bit surprised to see this. Can you make a comparison to S21 ultra?
@@jimmyispromo Can you tell us exactly what applications you used during these 4 hours? Facebook and messenger in general eat up a lot of my battery... and do you have always on display turned on?
My rooted device didn't have any play system updates first So I installed a GP system apk of November Then when I checked for update I got January's update
Got the update, applied full "Vividness" and it still looks "Washed-out" compared to my old S22 Ultra. The change in colors from full vividness to none was barely noticeable. Pretty disappointed in that. I haven't yet checked out if the camera updates actually did anything or not. I was looking forward to this update but it's rather underwhelming.
I tried the vivid setting with both sliders in practically every position. There was no noticeable change with the white balance slider from coldest to warmest and all points in between.
