It interesting how these came in right, for me network is number one and location number two, a city with the vibe of big city feel, some big cities are just crowded and too pricey. I’m not about ranking cos I have the mindset of “the school doesn’t make you, you make the best out of the school” 😊 totally love your compilation. Thanks for always sharing gems

Hi Fisayo, Your contents have been really helpful. Thank you for all you do. Top 3 priorities for me: 1) prestige/ Brand name 2)Alumni network 3) Career outcome. These 3 items, in my opinion, are the most important advantages of getting an MBA. The best MBA outcome is directly proportional to the brand, and others come as perks. I think an MBA is a waste of time and resources especially if one is taking a loan for a school not in the top 50. For a stretch, the top 50 is absolutely okay if one is getting fully funded. At least you will not be bothered about the ROI. However, if one can get into a top 10 - 20 MBA school, why bother about taking a loan?

Hi fisayo, thank you for these invaluable information you’ve been giving us.. I have a question and I wld really love an opinion. I recently graduated(BSc) 2021, but then prior to my graduation, I’ve been the creative director of my hair Business company since 2019 (fully registered and all) would these 3 years count as valid work experience towards my MBA application? Seeing I’m the owner of the brand and all. Also getting a recommendation letter from my current place of work.. would that be counterproductive, seeing as I cannot possibly make a recommendation letter by myself.. would really love to hear your opinion.

Hi Obinna, I don’t think getting a recommendation letter from your place of work is counterproductive since you’re going to state both your experience as business owner and employee. Your entrepreneurial experience should also count, it just depends on how you portray the work done
