It's always the same they have spoilt it for people who have drove a long way and want a couple of hours sleep before they go on the beach it was a safe place to park now me and my husband will be looking at ending our trip to Seaham because of this we're in our early sixties and live in Lincolnshire so it's a long way to go, we don't mind the parking fee but it's took that bit of freedom off us so now we can drive 150 miles to Seaham early hours go on the beach and drive back in a day he will be knackered so I think our Seaham trips as are done with it's a shame as we enjoyed it so much thank you for the vidio about the new rules etc one other thing have they put barriers up?
I’m Lincolnshire myself and yeah it’s a long way to get here and back in a day,there’s no barriers as yet but it’s a big shame about the overnight ban,hopefully you get back again and the local premier inns are not to badly priced tbh so make a holiday of it 🙂 thanks for watching and commenting 🤙
As a resident of Seaham I can tell that most if not all residents and businesses owners are against these charges being imposed as it affect’s us as well. There was a consultation back in December which highlighted that 98% did not want this but it was pushed through anyway. As always the motorist is the target. Sorry for the rant but I do feel strongly about this one. Keep up the good work as I enjoy your videos very much. I find beach-combing especially glass picking very therapeutic and have acquired quite a collection over the last few years.
Thanks for the watch and comment,a lot of locals I have spoke to feel the same way as yourself and it’s a shame because us van dwellers we spend money in the local town so the council gets it that way but I guess they feel there losing to much allowing free parking,il still be coming and will just camp up outside Seaham In a lay-by like a fair few others I guess 😂
And it is the same at blast beach in Seaham car park as well. I commented this the other week When I seen them, putting the parking metres up. But what these greedy councillors don't understand is that they will be driving people away now, not bringing in more tourists. Into Seaham itself 🤔😡🏴
