P4G on Vita was my first Atlus game - while P5R is my favorite Persona game (and one of my all-time favorite games), I find the P4G cast to be the most cozy.
Omg dude you are amazing, thank you so much for showing me you can actually even defeat bigger enemies in real time not just weaker enemies I am even more hyped for the game now!!! Cuz nobody showed you can actually do that, but glad you did now I am so excited this gonna make dungeons so fun to explore.
Man this sure seems like a Persona game. Fine by me; it:s different enough to be it's own thing. For people who want something that breaks away from the Persona/SMT formula are going to be disapointed
10/10 menu swag - can’t wait to see a new IP, feels like we so rarely see them, especially from non-FromSoft developers first Persona game was 3, still have the PS2 steelbook in my office
Finished the demo and I love it. Can't wait till release. Something about its visuals and playing it specifically on hard mode pretty much amplifies the dark and intense tone this game has. We don't know but if this is going to have a twist, I hope it's at par or better than P4 as that was my first Atlus game that set the bar.
Thanks for the info. I saw a gameplay video on Gamespot's channel showing the first boss fight and it felt kinda boring and I thought it'll quickly get too easy and repetitive. But thanks to you I understand there's more depth to the combat than I had originally thought. Btw in terms of charaters' relationship, can you romance characters here? I remember it was possible in Persona 5.
@@punani_slayer4209 this game would be big in scale regardless, but in more capable developer, the size prolly could be just 40 gigs. Lol. Yes this game looks very ps3. Its a shame they didnt switch to Unreal when they started working on this project in 2017. Persona 3 remake was made on 2019 using unreal, it looks so much better than this
@@punani_slayer4209 Wayy better than 5. Base persona fes is better than 5. Modern combat return of the theurology moveset, some new mechanics and a fresh coat of paint and its vastly superior in looks to persona 5 and gameplay. Persona 5 is probably the weakest entry by far.
The menus are a 1/10 to me 😅 they are way too busy. Though I'm not a fan of the busy UI I'm still looking forward to this game. I hope their are options to minimize the turn based UI animations and remove that Squad prompt on the character.
God, there's just so much in this game, I hope I enjoy it enough to NG+ it, because I'm gonna need the extra playthrough to really dig into everything. My first Atlus game was P4G.
Inb4, Regicide difficulty DOES make it a gameover if the MC is defeated Everything about Metaphor is exactly what I envisioned *A medieval Persona* High school setting does get boring after 5~7 games 😅
I'm very excited for this game, I've been waiting for years ever since their weird trailers. Frankly, the only gripe I have is the choice of no romance, because it just bugs me out that there will be bonds you can level up but never get past friendzone x)
I'm not sure how I feel about not having to do turn base combat. In my opinion that is the best part of these games. People like myself will always take the quickest patch which is avoiding the turn base combat and will get boring.
Very excited and really hoping this comes to the Switch 2 (as per the leaks). In my opinion, these games are best on handheld and on the go. I'm sure it'll be perfect on Steam Deck. My first persona was Persona 4 Golden on Vita. From there I went back to Persona 3 and then Persona 5 at launch.
It's feeling more and more like a mobile game with Auto combat and the action combat to avoid turn based combat. I have a hunch this will get boring after a few hours.
I mean, you could say the same thing about Elden Ring and the dark souls franchise, but it was still an amazing game. And no, if you actually pay attention this isnt a reskin. This game seems vastly different than persona imo
@TheMasterwitcher true, there is turn based combat, but there is also the new addition of real time, action-based combat. Also when it comes to the turn based combat, now all party members can change their "forms". No more "summoning" to fight enemies. As for the art style, I'd gladly take any game that looks this good, so it's not a negative for me. Game Studios have styles and I honestly wish more games looked as good as this one. As for the story, it seems vastly different than your average Persona title. There also appears to be branching paths to some degree, and the story seems to have more depth than the other series. I've watched just about every bit of trailers and reviews for this game and I can say with high certainty that this game will surpass the initial thoughts of it being "a reskin". Just because a game has some features that are present in other games that the studio made, doesn't make it bad. Pretty much every single developer does this to various degrees
There is also the fact that the combat is more SMT based, at least the bases because they know if they integrated smirk in this game would be deluxe hard@@TheMasterwitcher
Before playing metaphor know this….. I will be skipping every cut scene and ounce of dialogue to get to the gameplay in the grind like I do every atlus game.
