I think one plant that you uprooted which had those long roots was cryptocoryne if I'm right i think they will melt as they are moved and now need time to get used to to the new environment 🙂

DIY co2 is always costly than the compressed tank ones I tried diy for 2 years then just got bored with it went to market got co2 cylinder for 1.5k 4kg and solenoid valve for 1.6k then refilling just costs 160rs
