Good info in this video. For commercial clearance, usually you can walk into the customs area and an agent will help you get through the clearance process. there is a large three ring binder with all the current HS codes, choose the code applicable to your goods, pay your taxes and/or duty and your done. No need for a broker. (It's more difficult than this but not impossible to figure out on your own) Just be nice to the agents since the agents are not obligated to help you, have your commercial invoices in hand, and can seize your goods if you are not providing enough info.
@@HarjotSingh-rq4yv No, I import 5-10 packages at a time. However If I were to import a container I would visit CBSA and ask them how to do this..or use a broker.
@@AGCanadaeh Hi Andrew, what documents do you need for the packages? Are the invoices enough? Do you have to have an importer number besides a business number? And can your goods come from a retail store?
@@michaelarevalo896 the whole purpose of declaring products is to pay taxes and duties therefore you must have a GST number and invoice information showing product origin, product cost etc. I suggest you take a latest printed invoice and visit Canada border and Customs and have them walk you through how to declare the product. The agents are actually quite helpful and it’s their job to walk you through it. They can get frustrated and suggest that you use a broker but as long as you’re polite and willing to try, they will walk you through all the steps.
So you pay shipping.....and then you have to pay duty that your taxes already pay for....they hold your package hostage until you pay this crazy amount most the time worth more than the package itself......nice racket you got going there you pirates!

Nice video however I have a question I just bought clothing, and I need it brought from the states to Canada, but they did not have any country of origin, or where clothing came from, any specs. It is used goods. How do I get them approved to come into Canada by the Canadain border? thanks
