I was a kid when Ronaldo and Messi started their careers. And i loved them both through their careers, but CR7 will always have a special place in my heart. Messi has always had the edge on him if we are talking about pure and raw football talent and this is the reason why if i have to choose between them i'll always pick Cristiano. He had to put hard work to reach, and for long periods overcome, Messi talent. First at arrive, last to leave. Never left a pitch without putting max effort. And a true leader, never seen him give up before the end of a match. And i don't know why but the rush of adrenaline that this guy give me during games and the way he gives me hope even in difficult games is something else. Messi never did this for me. And i'm not saying because he is not beterr than CR7 or bla bla bla, simply i always found Cristiano more exciting to watch and follow. I guess it's subjective. For these reasons if my life is on the line in a footbal game, i'll always choose Cristiano.
People always confuse this...cristiano has a great talent and he has a lot of things to his talent than messi has..but due to his style of play,roles,positioning and a dozen of other stuff forced him to stop his showboating style and focus more on scoring goals there he stopped his dribbling,skills reduced to a few common ones..if you watched him at his first spell at Manchester united you would know what i'm talking about and besides,a goalscorer has to have power,speed,accuracy and due to that he has to work hard in and off the pitch so he can improve and maintain his physique....as you can he is 38 now but still rules
