We'll be live with a three player co-op campaign of Kislev in Total War: Warhammer 3, one hour after this video goes live! www.twitch.tv/templininstitute
As the third book of Ahriman tells us, only those following a clear purpose may walk the paths of the labyrinth safely. Should one enter it for curiosity's sake, or get distracted from one's purpose, one will lose themselves in the endless change.
Tzeentch is the sort of dick that would make an impossible fortress that if by some miracle an enemy breaks in, all they'll find is a not that says "Thank you Mario but the princess is in another castle".
Yeah I think he would. Further reasons why I don't want him entering other realms of reality. Don't need another lovecraftian nut running around in this one..
@@hisnotsolonely2961 Supposedly. The myth is related to Dorothy and the little dog toto, and the Kingdom of OZ. Although technically the realm could also be that of wonderland and or the Labyrinth. As both also fit the realm and makes sense to a childs eyes. Indeed that could be the trick in navigating the realm. A person either has to be of strong mind or insane to have a chance of navigating the realm. Then there is moral issues, believability and understanding. A adult mind has a hard time adjusting to things that don't make sense cause for a adult mind the world has to make sense. It has to be a order A Child however doesn't see the world normally how a adult would see it. They see the world in wonder, and what is new and out of concept they quickly adapt it to the reality they are forming. To a child everything is new, everything changes, they are more likely to pick up on things a adult wouldn't. They are also very open minded and prone to daydreaming furthering likely giving them added shieldiing against the threats of the realm. Also. Remember this line. There is nothing more pure or more terrible than the mind of a child..
It’s not Dorothy. It’s Delerium, from the Sandman books. One of the endless who represents the fundamental universal force of madness . She’s accompanied by a black dog wherever she goes. Would make sense that she along could best Tzeentch’s home because she’s just as insane and even more powerful in her own setting.
Pretty sure they are all edritch inspired especially Tzeench and Nurgle though. Sad that Lovecraft has somewhat of a cliche at this point but I feel that WH definately takes heavier inspiration than most.
@@boobah5643 That is one of the key elements of eldritch horror yes, I would describe it as knowledge that is unknowable to mortals like us humans. So it causes most people to go insane or could have various other adverse effects. Usually it is connected to a greater, cosmic evil as well, the machinations of which mortals also could never understand. But there's also elements in eldritch horror such that are typical of the horror genre in general, usually. There's quite a few things in W40K that seem to have taken inspiration from eldritch and other cosmic horror, Tzeentch being the most apparent among them, to me.
So if one needs a clear purpose in mind to safely navigate the Crystal Labyrinth, what purpose did Institute personnel have in mind, or what kind of drugs did they take when they entered the realm of Tzeentch?
Creating impossible fortress would be a dream come true for Ubisoft developers - the only place where glitches are not only accepted but also are more then welcome.
I am absolutely addicted to warhammer series on the Twitch channel! Although I have say Khorne was not that interesting even papa nurgle has some rather unique elements into it I hope we see all the deamon master factions would be played!
Khorne is not supposed to be interesting, he is simple and straightforward by design, an embodiment of one of the most primal instincts of humankind, to kill. He cares not from whence the blood flows, only that it flows.
The problem with mortal minds is the obsession with logic and answer. When the real answers are in the questions and the only logic is in what you cannot understand. All are welcome and dwell in the domains infinite possibilities.
Ah, my favorite Chaos god. I love that even he has impossible, irrational ambitions that he could never possibly hope to accomplish. Or maybe that is what he wants us to think...?
It's difficult to do the foundation, as its organisational structure is often based on the head canon of the reader. Some canons have the 05 as the supreme authority, others have a director. Some have the ethics committee as a joke, others have it as a power paramount to the 05.
I absolutely love this new series covering the chaos gods, nurgle still my favourite, but slanesh is the only one not covered yet, can't wait to see it!
You guys should cover the entire Ender series by Orson Scott Card. From Enders Game, Speaker for the Dead to Ender in Exile. That will give you tons of awesome content :D Pequeninos alone will take several videos. Please like this if you want that series too and get it up to the top!
I support this idea 1000%, the Ender series was such a huge part of my childhood, and rereading them as an adult put a whole new perspective on the subject matter.
@@FixedGearFox I couldn't agree more. Enders Game is one thing but following the adventures of the people from Lucitania and Ender the Genocide is amazing. The lore behind the Pequeninos and the planet is wild and deep. So much content to uncover!! I own the whole novel collection in several versions I am obsessed with this entire series :D
@@FixedGearFox I appreciate that I am definitely going to check that out! Have never heard it on Audio Book but that would be nice to have playing in the woodshop!
I am sooo happy that the Little Girl got a mention. I know that GW has gone back and forth on wether WH 40K and Fantasy are connected, from WH Fantasy's world being cut from the galaxy by Warp storms to the entirety of the WH 40K's galaxy being trapped in a bottle in the college of magic. Things like The Little Girl are mysteries that make the world more interesting, my personal headcanon is that it is the Star Child protecting the black dog, wich may have been Leman Russ. Mostly because I find it funny.
the little girl and her black puppy could be the emperor in disguise, basically insulting Tzeentch by saying that his puzzles are so easy, a child could solve them
@@dappernecromancer5364 it would make sense, especially with the three other chaos gods being referenced in the other three main characters in the wizard of oz (at least to how Tzeentch may view them): Nurgle would be the tin man. Infesting mortals with despair and rot, he would be without a heart Khorne would be the Scarecrow. Seeking violence for violence's sake. He would be the one without a brain And finally, Slaanesh would be the Lion. Needing to use tricks and disguises to lure foes in for an easy kill, a coward's tactic when one can just immolate them from afar.
Honestly that's kinda lame IMO, it's much more fun if it was just an actual little girl. All Tzeentch's double-talk, lies, and obfuscation, beaten by the blunt honesty and simple worldview of a child lol
Imagine tzeentch taking a casual stroll through his fortress and finding himself at his 40k counterpart's scheming table. I imagine it would be some sort of variation on the "spider-men pointing at each other" meme
Last time I checked, the Chaos Gods of 40k and the Chaos Gods of WFB are the same Gods. As in, they don’t have counterparts, they exist in both settings simultaneously.
I feel like if John Conway ever saw the impossible fortress it would be a perfect geometric representation of the monster group, in all its 196,883 dimensional glory.
Pursuant to Institute Security Directive I must report *another* visible software instability. Request isolation and physical containment of affected systems. Someone didn't check their three-factor authentications before opening a class-XK portal. *Again.* It was probably Steve. Like last time.
@@Speederzzz Imagine immateraial anti-matter missles coming into existence just so they could blast the fort, only for the attacker to find they're in the maze.
That child that managed to walk through the labyrinth... could it be Luke Pearson's Hilda? Who else but our adventurous little girl to trick the great schemer? That would be an interesting story: Hilda and the impossible fortress.
Only just come upon this Channel the other day been checking through the content it's pretty cool I've found a nice Geeky Den to hide on RU-vid awesome!!
Everyone see in it what he want to see, mortals can comprehend the chaos realm to their full extent, so what you see is just what your human spirit can see
That last bit about the entity that showed up as a young girl with a black dog intrigues me. I want to know who they were/claimed to be. I also wonder if someone who was truly uncaring about their own fate, uninterested by all things, could navigate that maze. If it tries to tempt you with paths of hope, fear, desire, and glimpses of futures... if you simply did not care at all, would the maze open up a direct path because clearly you are 'insane', and should be allowed to the Fortress? The CGI in this is great. I love the folding Fortress. Self-spawning and absorbing, a million different aspects trading places randomly. Just great.
Hmm risky, highly dangerous yet the Chaos god Tzeentch didn't make a appearence? lucky us.. last thing we need is that overgrown monstrosity of a bird entering the other realms of reality. Hopefully he was distracted with other issues to attend to.
Tzeentch: "My divine realm is nor less than an impossible, unscapable fortress surrondered by a labyrinth which renders all intruders, even demons, insane or worse..." Dorothy: "Excuse me sir, do you know the way back to Kansas?" Tzeentch: "WTF??!!!!"
If we had to follow one of the chaos lord's in Warhammer this is the one I'd probably follow. He is weird but interesting. He also is better that Nurgl, Khorn, and especially Slanessh
I dunno, Tzeench says "fuck your plans, I've got plans of my own and right now they involve you turning into a mindless demon" Nurgle says "Yeah, you're going to die eventually. But it'll be a long and hilarious journey"
@@johnwillsea6600 mala or malice is the chaos god of chaos as in the guy who will basically cause the most random shit to happen because he is chaos in it's purest form he has no friends only enemies the other gods all hate him his main goal is to kill chaos it's self and yes that includes him he has only hatred no room for compromise in his truly black heart if you wish for more info look him up they can explain it better then me
