Make use of your flaps. If you apply FULL flaps a lot earlier, it will reduce your stall speed and give you better slow speed control. If you deploy full flaps just before touch down, the flaps affects pitching moment and left, and you don't want to have to readjust to all that so close to the ground. Also, I find when flying a taildragger, upon landing, apply back pressure while applying brakes help prevent your plane from going nose over.
Flaps are things that they put on the wings that allow you to reduce your landing speed and increase your angle of descent. I use them regularly. You should try them.
11:06 that is the thomas jefferson memorial :) it really is fascinating how some of the nations most important buildings are all within the eyes reach from that height. just left of the washington monument there are the ww2, korean war, mlk jr, and lincoln memorials, all within a mile or so. youve also got the museum of natural history and the us capitol/supreme court over to the right from there.
To do a short field landing, you need to fly at the normal approach speed and pick a point to land on the ray with little to no floating. When touching down during a short field landing, you must retract the flaps up, and apply gradual brakes but however since this is a tail wheel aircraft, pull the stick fully aft, to keep the tail on the ground. Keep that stick aft to increase aerodynamic braking and to keep the tail down until you reach a safe speed to taxi.

That is in fact DCA the nieghbor to IAD. Funny enough? It is located just about 25 minutes away from IAD. So real close to one another.
If I've learned anything from GTA it's that when landing a plane on a tiny target you need to approach it from underneath, go vertical as you pass it to stall and just fall back onto it

If you try to learn to perform a maneuver called a "forward slip" it will help you keep your speed under control when you need to quickly lose altitude.

Also, the reason the Washington Monument looks like a skyscraper is you don't have photogrammetry turned on. That is what the AI thinks anything narrow and tall is, so it puts in a regular skyscraper.
Oke bro someone needs to tell you… flaps are deployed to give the plane a larger surface to generate more lift. In other words fly slower without losing lift. So use flaps earlier to you can approach slower😉 And with the hellipad, if you come in low with more flaps and clime up at the last min to stall onto it 😉 Great vid!❤️
If you're doing a cruise through Barcelona i have done the same exact one and it was absolutely gorgeous! And the Burj Al Arab hotel is stunning as well. Especially the Deluxe Marina Suite! It's 2 floors and the main floor is basically a wide open living room and the 2nd floor is an entire master suite! The bathroom upstairs has 2 toilets side-by-side. Although i don't think any guy would want their girl next to them when they're blowing up the toilet.... 😅 but it is a beautiful hotel! Ocen views!
I get what you saying but I live here and was born and raised here. You telling me a random person out of the millions that visit here every month just about something happens to them when they visit local places where capital police and secret service is on pretty much every corner? Trev a little while ago a plane like you were flying entered the restricted air space and jets were scrambled from the nearest base. They responded within minutes. (Look it up idk all the details)
Trimming up does nothing if you push the nose over. That doesn’t make you lose speed. All it does is make it difficult to hold the nose down. Learn how to properly manage speed and use flaps and slips to slow down.
