GOR in 1900~1930 goes from low of 200 to 500 scf/bbl, all too high for the shallow 1,000ft depth to be dissolved, so there are lots of gas in the gas top that is producing. So, they must have depleted the reservoir pressure earlier by drilling to the gas top part. They should have drilled deeper to the oil ring to get most oil out first.
I know there is a more complex production history at Midway Sunset than we were able to cover in a short video. Hopefully our video is a useful introduction and interested parties can delve deeper (sic).
Art's videos are very informative. Midway-Sunset remains a significant producer within California. Obviously the Permian Basin is king this decade - but M-S has delivered for over a century.
