Hey Bougie Frugals! Let's up our Impress Press On nail game even further with some sizing and shaping tips and tricks. Check me out on Instagram: / miahasdiggles #impressnails #pressonnails #kisspowerflex
I was picking bigger nails to help them stick better vs the smaller nail with a tighter c curve, felt like they would lift sooner. Then wondered why they looked so strange.
These are great tips, and I totally get it picking a bigger nail versus a smaller now for the tapered look and when I noticed a little bit of nail was hanging off at the side under the fake nail what I would do before I attach it is to file the side of the nail. That usually takes care of side nail. now I just have to worry about side boob in my bras lol.😂 keep up the great work! I’d rather spend twenty minutes and six to ten dollars a week or every two weeks then going to a nail salon for an hour hour and a half and spending anywhere from sixty five to eighty dollars😊
Ordered nail adhesive stickers from Amazon and using Olive and June glue on nails. They have more sizes. Olive and June just came out with prestickered nails but then glue on ones are better (the ones in the round package)
as someone who likes to get those cute nails without hurting my wallet these were all great tips :) just subbed and so excited to watch more of your content!
I would love to give a tip from my experiences. So, I follow your videos, and like you said, what works for you may not for another. BUT, as someone with very flat nail beds, especially my thumbs, it actually HELPS to size up because if the impress nail has too much of a C curve due to being smaller, it pinches your nail, and can cause ingrown, discomfort etc. So I size up for my thumbs, where a size 1 "works", size 0 (depending on the pack of nails of course with sizing), after slightly shaped works better. You do not want the false nail to curve or pinch in your nail. So sometimes sizing down works, like for your pinky, but most people actually have flatter beds... in fact, 70% of people have flat nail beds, and 30% have that desired curve to them. If the smaller nail feels like it's pushing down too hard, or could possibly pop off, take the next size up and gently file the sides so it reaches side wall to side wall. But thank you for the videos. I've actually gone out and found the nail glues you've mentioned. Take care, have a bright day!
Great to know regarding the flat nail beds! I like snipping or filing the nails down to my right size too when I'm on the 2nd or 3rd application from the same box and the pickings are slim lol.
That's right boo! I was offering insight, in case anyone is half as clueless as I was when I first started dabbling with nails 😂 thank you for your videos. I truly enjoy watching them, and hoping you do more regarding nail application, wear, tear, dos and don'ts.
I got a cute set for my friends birthday party-i am capable of putting them on .. but they are long longgg..and i kinda want them a lil bit shorter-im scared to cut and file them lol
I get a smaller nail than my finger nail and file the sides of my natural nail before i glue the nails to my nails and mane them look better and natural also make my fingers look longer
So I felt like I had to cut them completely down because they were so flimsy. They were bending back whenever I tried to do something so I literally cut them all the way down and then shaped them. Help? Lol
