MASSIVE THANK YOU to instagram.com/naley90/ for allowing me to drive the car before himself! Also, shout out to the friendly police officer for being chill and giving lifehacks!
@@Bikaz well, I interpret the “newly built" as "built on commission" as most of the schirmer cars are. Also his insta pictures seem to depict a car that he's disassembled/prepared before shipping it to schirmer for rebuild/upgrade. Maybe not too obvious...
Misha, you know what woud be good on your track vids!!! Own "Misha Lap timer" some kind of HarryLapTimer / Race Chrino or similar app... Please think about it. Greetings from Poland 🖐
@@STOP2NWO Its officially against the track rules to drive against the clock on the nürburgring. Touristenfahrten count as a toll road and obviously competetive mindsets lead to crashes, therefor from what I understand they dont want that. Ofc you could later analyze the video and draw a theoretical lap time from that, but since hes closely working together with the nürburgring and its their busines, I strongly doubt they want to cause any issues in that regard and rather play by the rules over some internet fame.
I'm not a BMW Fanboy at all, but that is one that I'd love to own. Funny rules there in Germany. Put a split in the banner and it becomes a sticker. Crazy stuff, but how nice of the officer to tell you.
Well, to be accurate with a split in the middle it becomes 2 stickers. 🤓 and with stickers you can cover 25% of the windshield in germany it seems. Just not with 1 big sticker.
Seemed like the European version of a police shakedown to me. Their boss gives them a particular quota of money for the day/week/year and they maybe considered for a promotion.
Compare this to the UK - "Your windscreen shade is illegal, take it off now." or the US "Your windscreen shade is illegal. Step out of the car, hands where I can see them!!!" 😉
@@macbitz Cops made me shorten mine on the spot but didn't question why I had a scalpal. Same cops beat me in the same area for no reason a year later.
That police officer was pretty cool. He didn't seemed to be over-picky (like "look a tuner. I'm gonna treat him as a serious criminal for no reason") at all.
Remember that the cops are not dumb over there. They will recognize a Team Schirmer built vehicle, especially if he immideately pulls out all the TÜV papers.
You weren't joking. That was the friendliest police officer I've ever seen! Your videos are always full of feel-good vibes and during times like these I really appreciate that. I hope to be able to come visit the Nordschleife some time after the pandemic 😊👍
I love the sound of gearbox whine in the morning, it sounds like victory What a car, I feel all tingly in the underpants department, that low angle photo is amazing
Misha, I have a stock N55 LCI M2 in Canada and this video made me very happy to watch, thank you. It gave me way more context to your skill level. Very impressive! More Team Schirmer content please!!!
Misha, I must say this camera angle and position setup is great, because it shows in a better perspective how the car reacts to the track changes, makes the whole car and suspension setup seem really tight and gives the impression that you're sitting in the backseat! Great video
Sometimes you can get a bit down about the car world because it seems to be filled with a lot of dickheads. But we all need to remember there are people out there like Leif who clearly love cars and just want to share them. You have to focus on the positives and we should all aim to be more like Leif, even when we encounter someone like John the Dbag.
Ok. Now I used my headphones and... I just heard music. The perfect combination. Great engine sound+great gearbox symphony...wonderful. Thanks for this video.
Beautiful car! Misha's new nickname "AirTime" really took Flying Team Schirmer to heart. NIce blaming the "Stiff" suspension for compressing the suspension to catch air. Misha will need a pilots license soon.
Police officer: Do you speak German? Misha: A little bit. - Proceeds to listen and speak without any difficulties as a fluent in German. Great video! Car is such a beast, has the looks and performance to back it up.
Great looking car and how nice are the police out there. Really enjoyed the app and it looked like you did too. I don’t get burning yourself out Misha. Great video.
Must be the best dm you can get: " do you want to drive my schirmer bmw?". Not many owners would let another guy drive it first let alone drive it! Shows how trustworthy u come across in your videos👌 i would let u drive mine without a doubt but it's not video material yet😂
I lived in Italy back in 2016, now I'm back in the states and it blows peoples minds when I tell them the police want their ticket money at the traffic stop...it's unfortunate you got the ticket but I'm sure you taught the American audience something they've never seen or heard of before. LOVE YOUR CONTENT
Good Evening Misha.. Watching new Vlog late tonite 9:55pm NZ. (Not too happy with new Samsung phone) LoL Mr Plod the Policeman pulled you over hey?😁 GEE Wizz.. no dawdling onda track! You got the Shirmer Beema to BOOGIE around th'Ring that's for sure!! Despite the fact they didn't tell you it was set up for the mostly flat surface of the GP track. Great Driving dude!!👍🙂👍 LOVE Ya Work💕 Godbless ava gr8 weekend 🙂
Respect to the owner for lending you the car. There is something about these Schirmer cars, they just look right. Said it a million times before that the stance on these Schirmer cars is something else. Must say the police there seems pretty reasonable. I remember when I got pulled over here for window tints, they just opened the doors and ripped them off. I would've appreciated a fine or a warning beforehand.
Have to admit, these cops are amazing and the fact, that he gave Misha the hint with the cut in the banner is just top notch. The way police gets respected, some out there might learn a thing or two from them.
Incredible, Team Schirmer did an excellent re-engineering job on the handling. Apart from the one missed heart beat... that looked impressive... (just invoice me for the 25e) ...
Afternoon Misha, the schrimer m2 looked and sounded well. The police officer was fair and with explaining the sun strip. I must take note of all the legal requirements to a modified car travelling in Germany.
Oh wow, what a gorgeous car, thank you for the experience, it's a modern version of my E30 323 JPS special, black on gold Oz only, how fast did you say yes please & thank you to the owner for the chance to drive his new baby Misha? & Yes the police officer was cool, Oh I'm missing the start of 2 football games to watch this lmfao, Rj in Oz
Brakes squeaking like hell (so some race compound pads obviously), carbon fibre front splitter, bonnet, doors and side vents, huge rear wing, and the police only complains about the sticker on the windscreen :D :D :D :D
I really thought you don't like m2s , I've found after almost 2 years the reason why you didn't drove the apex M2 , because it was crashed :-( . 25 euros for the ticket is cheaper then in Romania by far . I really enjoyed the video , great driving .. as always .
Huh... SD plates, it's registered in Haugesund, where I live... I wonder if I've seen it before. And the fine... you can pay it on the spot, and it's that cheap? Be glad it's just a Norwegian registered car, as our fines are much higher. Just a parking violation is over 80EUR, and you have to wait for fines to come in the mail. I've personally had to pay a speeding ticket for going just over the speed limit during an overtake, it was thankfully cheap as it wasn't high speed, only around 250eur. :P
the Adenau Police officers are seriously the coolest in the world. Literally as soon as the boys from Koblenz arrive for big events, all nice talk doesn't help anymore
