Various impression techniques in RPD. Dual impression techniques are McLean and Hindel's physiologic methods, Functional relining technique, Fluid wax technique and the selective pressure technique.
It's a very good Presentation but it's very much difficult for normal students like us to understand and imagine the whole procedure. I would like to suggest you to make 3D representation of it so that students like me can understand it easily .
Sir, I'm unable to understand functional reline technique. If we are relining the old one then, do we break the denture base part of the old one and fabricate a new framework on a refractory cast and then we apply a metal spacer on it ,then we fabricate a special tray on it, then we take impression and pour the cast using altered cast technique and then we fabricate denture base with self cure and then we do rims,teeth arrangement and try in and then flasking and finishing and finally denture delivery. Am i right or totally wrong?
