The old pure text forums-circa 1990-were my gateway into home brewing, statistical analysis of sports, cooking,…so many things. Even collaborations with other mathematicians pushing the (then) limits of image processing and compression. The newfound ability to share information across the globe was a very different world.
Great chat Mike. I share your sentiments on YT channels and the community. I rather have relationships and conversations rather than subscriber count. I miss the internet of old also. Have a great week Regards Mark
This is my first comment. I did notice your video cover-the layered color blocks and elegant fonts, as well as the background image that doesn’t overpower the main elements. I really think they look great!
At 14:30 you hit the nail on the head! I work so hard and have worked so hard for my business for many years. This is the LAST place I wanted to put more business stuff. This aint about money for me. Just for fun and community to me. .
Hey Mike, great review of the c&d burley Flake #1. Your impression of this tobacco, albeit 7 years old, makes me want to order a tin to try. I agree that RU-vid channel optimization is not for everyone. I don't have many subs but the ones I have watch and comment on videos I put out. I'd rather keep the subs I have that are considered friends. Enjoy your Sunday. Cheers
Totally agree. I have a relatively small music channel and maybe 10% of the subs actually watch my videos. Initially, and even currently, I wish there were more subs. But I realize its a small niche of devotees and perhaps there is something more important than chasing numbers. I enjoy your videos primarily for your insights into life, and secondarily for the pipe stuff. Now I'll go back and finish watching your video. Cheers 🙂
