That was a very detailed review.I always admire how you conduct a car review, straightforward and no BS. Speaking both in English and Filipino so that you can send your message across easily, albeit a little monotonous, but that's ok.
Sarap magbasa ng mga comment. Dahil di naman ako techy person so i prefered the GRS. Napatunayan ko na kasi ang reliability ng toyota matapos umabot na sa 11 years ang Fortuner 1KD engine ko without any single issue. Just do the required PMS and without modification and there you go.
My opinion is mas reliable ang D4D na engine ng Toyota over the new engine. I've seen several new model Hilux trucks with black smoke already, especially on acceleration.
Straight to the point and no sugar coating kung mag compare ng sasakyan. Plus sabayan pa ng malumanay at malinaw na pag papaliwanag.. Dami ko natutunan sau sir. Salamat..
Mitsubishi joins rallye competitions and they infuse their rallye technology in their vehicles. Just compare the ride, handling, and braking between the Hilux and the Triton. Huge difference.
We’re currently looking for a pickup na try q to. Id say go for triton more or less 10 yrs old na ang current gen hilux.
Thank you sir levi for helping me decide. Hindi bagay sa akin ang hilux. I value safety, comfort and tech. I also own a montero like you and i might regret buying a hilux galing sa comfort ng montero. I do respect other people na cguro ay bagay sa lifestyle nila ang Hilux. Hindi ko kinokonsider na plus yung tatagal yung pick-up kasi baka hindi mo rin ito magagamit 20-30 yrs from now dahil baka iphaphase out na diesel as we shift to everything electric. Tagal ko na naghanap ng videos comparing both cars na yung straight to the point. Hindi yung playing safe. Raptor it is then 😊
Resale value yes and durability yes. Pero luging lugi sa price nyan. Very basic ang features.
Yes, they're very reliable. But people really just automatically buy it because of the brand. This then means the company gets so comfortable and won't innovate, as they know people will still continue buying it. Seriously, my dad's 2023 Fortuner is so dated inside, and I absolutely hate the side folding rear 2 seats, it's such a waste of space.
Toyota lover here. Yes tama ka. Tgnan mo tong GR nila atleast sna nka ko2 man lang.
Sir Levi good review! Both are really good at sabi mo nga its based on what you prefer at the end of the day. Anyway keep posting! Sana magka Lexus reviews din kayo
Kung pang matagalan at patibayan at iwas Sa sakit Ng ulo in the future,Sa Toyota na lng Ako,subok KO na yn,purmado nga ung MGA gawa Ng Ford Pero bibigyan ka naman Ng desenting problema Sa hinaharap,di Gaya Sa Toyota brand Kung bibigyan ka man Ng problema Ng unit Mo Pero cgradong kayang Kaya Mo,,
For an old timer like me its Toyota all the way! Its off road reliability is well established. For a pick up truck thats the most important thing. Looks and tech and all the bells and whistle is secondary.. Too many techs means too many things that can go wrong.. Lets review after 10 years and compare notes. Raptor maybe bigger but not necessarily better. Nice review Levi.. Kudos to you...
Korek. I agree with you; techs and other features are secondary. Mas importante talaga ang reliablity and easy to maintain vehicle.
Same raliability when it comes to 2nd hand cars. Why? Ford owners a few years ago will go to casa for parts. While hilux owners go to banawe where fake parts are common. Walang matibay na toyota sa pabayang owner.
@@reneogatis2019 tama po I bought a 2nd hand everest na di hamak na mura sa kasabayan niang fortuner, at the right price makakuha sa super sariwa tas same price laspag mahahanap mo sa market place if meh sariwa na yota apaka mahal 😂 di worth it price dagdag ka konti brand new na. For 2nd hand car buyers mas masusulit mo ford lalo ung complete ung maintenance records sa casa, karamihan nagbebenta yota na 2nd hand sa labas maintenance at replacement parts nillagay para maka mura
Another in-depth non biased review, alam mo na pinagisipan ng maayos and hindi basta basta ginawa ang vlog for the views, priority ang knowledge and awareness ng mga viewers and prospect buyers! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@bladeofmiquella1887they did it for a reason po tenyo naman ang price ng triton compare sa dalwa they need to make simple things para mag match sa price at the rest binalanse nila but overall sa price ni triton napaka sulit nya mitsubishi yan matibay yan 😂
@@bladeofmiquella1887 bat ba factor sayo drum brakes? FYI mas advantage ang drum for using the Parking Brakes compared to disc brakes sa likod. Mapapakinabangan mo ang all disc brakes if sports car gamit mo, pero for a normal car it has little to no advantage sa drum sa likod.
@@techietoma Meh. Gawa gawa mo lang yan. Look, Triton Athlete costs a whooping 2 million pesos. Wag paka engot boi.
@@bladeofmiquella1887ang laki ng problema mo sa drum brake lods hahaha speaking of tipid, look at toyota’s cars, as u can observe hindi justifiable price point sa mga feautures na nasa unit nila. Just like for example, fortuner toyota v 4x2 2019 top of the line na pero walang rear camera like wtf seriously?
@@marinerchris kaya nasabing refined ng iba kasi tahimik, well tahimik nga talaga kasi wet belt gamit nila eh.
Hi! Levi, I have the first of the Five Ranger Raptor release at Ford Autohub Manila of December 2018. I have still my first version up to date at 120k KM ODO without any issue. Still pogi pa din like new even na byahe ko na ito from Luzon to Mindanao. For me, the new Hilux GRS doesn't justify the price increase na close na sa new gen Raptor but far-far more behind from the tech and feature of the Ranger Raptor. Following recommended PMS frequency properly and at 90k KM, replaced all belts and still drives like brand new. We will both have the same color soon adding a Ranger Raptor into my small garage. Stay safe and God bless.
Kung sasabay lang si toyota in terms of features sa mga competitor ay walang duda na mas lalo niyang paghaharian ang market. At kung sasabay naman ang mga competitor in terms of reliability ay tuluyan na nilang tatalunin sa market si toyota.
Galing ng Review Tito Levi Looking forward sa long term review regarding Ford service and reliability Feeling ko yan lang ang reason kung bakit ginugusto ng marami ang Toyota Hilux, reliabliity
Parehas tayo sir levi, I also prioritized Comfort over reliability. That is why I chose navara over other brands. I also agree with your statement that so long as you maintain well the car wala kang magiging problema. Very informative yung video.
Dapat hindi tinipid ni Toyota ang Tires nito, Dapat nakipag partner sila with Toyo or Falken para lagyan ng more rugged wheels like the Ford Raptor with BFG KO2.
@techietoma I was watching the 2024 Ranger Raptor review from US sir. They really test the Raptor in real world situation and you can see that rear locking differential of the Raptor is not enough, they always engage the front locker to move forward.
@@eraserheads78 I think you're referring to the video from CarExpert, yung need ng Raptor ma engage both rear and front diff lock para maka akyat sa steep incline.
Hard core off roader here. Not a Toyota Fanboy. If you want to go in the mountains take the Ranger Raptor. If you want to make sure you go back home take the Hi Lux. Thats all i can say. ✌️
Less tech less problem more tech more problem in the future
The outside rear shock absorber set-up is similar to that of the 4-Runner. That cruise control switch is archaic! Hahaha! Toyota has a lot of over stock of that frame and they are upgrading that frame just to sell them. The new Hilux with the hybrid gasoline option is already available, but cannot be sold yet in country because of the overstock. Mitsubishi is different. They are selling the old Triton side-by-side the new Triton.
Went for ranger kasi iba yung riding dynamics nya tska + points yung EPS talaga. Hilux is close second since we had 2016 hilux before yung model na bagsak sa moose test 😅 kaso in a year or 2 may new model na so nanghihinyang ako.
Agree with your point not just for the hilux but for all modern toyota models. Worth it lang talaga if you plan to use it long term o pang harabas (with exceptions for the dihatsu based models 🤫). Other than that overpriced siya. I work for toyota yet own a nissan, kia, and benz. Unless you plan to get a camry, lc300 or imports from japan I just can’t justify owning one because there are always better options. 🤷🏽♂️
Just tried this for a test drive lastweek in europe its a bit disappointing on its suspension matagtag sya, slow accelaration and its gas consumption..ill choose ranger raptor over this..
Sir. Mag upload din po kayo vids regarding your raptor PMS and costs. Debating po kasi ako what to get . raptor or triton athlete or this hilux GRS. Looking forward to more of your vids
For me sa looks at updated unit. Raptor pipiliin ko. Kahit abutin pa ng 10years hnd magmumukhang luma. Hilux GRS outdated na inside and out. May mga mas bago pa lalabas nyan na facelift. 💯
My uncle bought a Conquest in 2022 and was thinking about getting the gr-s, but I heard there wasn't much updated from his Hilux Conquest of 2022. so he just got a conquest 2024 bodykit which cost 40k in banawe. after doing this he talk about In the next few years he plans on switching to a Ford Raptor or Bronco, as he feels Ford is the iPhone of cars here in the Philippines. its a status of May Pera ka daw. Based on Ford's sale last year, this might be true.
I would like to ask you sir Levi kasi you keep on saying na hindi maganda ang low engine power kasi nga hirap ang engine even if may turbo siya. why the ford raptor? di ba 2.0L lang sya? thank you
Low displacement sir hindi po power.. yes the 2.0 of the raptor can be more stressed because of low displacement but engineers for sure made sure that it would be durable already given the technology that we already have in todays time. Also it performs well naman and i do love its refinement
Don't be a little bias, Ford Raptor has everything you need, this one can only match up on the improve riding comfort due to suspension system and power. And offcourse above in the reliability but way beyond on tech and features. Don't say that the price alone is the only thing that compliments the higher price tag, when its not and after all, the longevity is what your paying for that saves you a lot of money in the future.
Nanood ka ba talaga? sabi niya the price can be justifiable if you’re going to keep the vehicle for a long time. Pero if gagamitin for a short period lang 3-5yrs di siya worth it kasi kulang kulang talaga sa features and hindi maganda ang on road performance matagtag
2.1m yan bro isipin mo nalang 2024 na ganyan padin features ng hilux na yan samantalang competitors niya are giving more features for a lower price.
